Smaller fights - single models then units ideas ?

By soulman, in Star Wars: Legion

As well as battles in star wars with groups of troops, like battle of Endor or in Rogue one. SW also have the smaller scale actions, shoot outs in bars and back alleys or on a sail barge etc. I was thinking the other day that the "pips" on the cards could be for single models then units..

If 2 undercover rebels was walking down a alley on some remote planet, and 3 storm troops turn up looking at ID`S, then picking cards and playing out single models should work.. The "Ambush" card is one pip, so one of the rebels would pull out this hidden blaster and shoot first, the troopers could play "Assault" that gives all 3 troops the chance to get into any cover and return fire...

Just thoughts off the top of my head.... love to hear your thoughts too

Alan

I would just make some grid based compatible scenery/play mats and use Imperial Assault. Stuff like buildings with removable roofs. vague grid pattern on grass/sand so it doesn't ruin the aesthetic. I guess Line of sight might be an issue (a bit awkward to directly translate) but would work with some common sense from the players, As well as anything that's restricted to counting spaces but I'm sure there's an easy enough work around (Probably range rulers at shorter lengths than the ones in legion)

Definitely seems that IA would be more suitable for this tbh.
