Unguided Rockets can only be modified by spending a focus token for its standard effect (as per the text on the card), so that rules out a Guidance Chips modification.

Things that are and are not modification:

Modification:

  • Rerolling a die (e.g. predator)
  • Changing a result on a previously rolled die to another result (e.g. guidance chips)
  • Adding a new die "pre-set" to a specific result (e.g. fearlessness)

Not modification:

  • Changing the number of dice rolled in the initial roll (e.g. opportunist)
  • Rolling an extra die (e.g. Lightweight frame)
  • Cancelling a result (e.g. Crack Shot)

unguided rockets can use anything from the latter list.
