Yes. Rules like that will specify 'friendly' or 'enemy' if they're restricted - if you can drop the stress on an enemy, great, if not, a convenient Z-95 henchman will do fine.
It's why 4-LOM pilot pairs well with Zuckuss crew (as he should).
