To protect the corners / borders or the whole token? Sounds good anyway!

It protects the whole token. You cut a piece of tape about twice as long as the token. (Clear packing tape is a bit wider than a monster token.) Then cut out the corners of the tape and fold over tightly. I did this about a year ago and none have come loose on their own (and I play lots of games). Since I some of my tokens were already pretty worn, I magically markered the black ones and printed out some of the colored ones on normal paper with Strange Eons to brighten them up.

Its a bit tedious, needless to say. I did replace one of the Dark Young with a Gnoph-Keh because I thought there should be two of them.

Why? Are you breeding them?

I wish there were more Gnoph-Kehs too, and not just because it's fun saying Gnoph-Keh. Gnoph-Keh, Gnoph-Keh, Gnoph-Keh!

mmmm. That might explain why I seem to be drawing them a lot more than I expected. I think I'll check my monster cup/bag when get home.

I would be more concerned with checking under my bed ;')

Sounds strong enough. The problem with tape is that it's not eternal, and when it's gone, the token will go away with it too. Nevertheless, the average lifespan of the taped tokens could be what? five years? seven? wich is definitely longer than the lifespan of my unprotected tokens. I'll try, thanks for the suggestion

thanks for the commenting guys. I'll need 4 Mini American pack, 4 Standard American for the Mythos size cards? and I'll be looking into the bigger sleeves Mageith posted an link to.

I like the taping idea for the tokens but I'm a visual learner, is there a youtube video on how to do this?

The green card represents the packing tape. You want to cut each flap as close to the corner as possible (the lower left would be the best example. I then fold in the sides then either the top or bottom last. You'll probably have fingerprints but those pretty much disappear when you tightly wrap the tape.

If your monster tokens are already in disrepair you can print out the monster fronts and backs from strange eons on normal paper. In order to keep them in place, I first stuck them down with double sided tape over the old monster token.

Although I must confess I haven't been able to find anything that prevented monsters being consumed by the intense gaming

Our monster tokens are flat on a table, ordered alphabetically. The monster cup is really a plastic container with bingo chips with numbers "dymoed" on them. And we use a small table next to the monsters to match the number drawn and the monster; ie. number 25 is the Dhole.

When a monster is drawn, we put the monster on the board and its bingo chip on it. If the monster is returned to the cup, to chip returns to the container. Result : good lookin' monster tokens.

Has a lot of sense, too! Thank you for your suggestion. Although I have to confess that I'd really love if FFG would give the opportunity to restock monsters or worn-out elements of the game simply buying "that" part of the game. Even simply to have more monsters of the same type mixed together (yep, the ratio remains the same, but the idea of 3 dholes sunbathing on the Innsmouth shore streets is sick enough to make me dream). Not that I ever managed to beat one dhole, but this is a different story

Hrm, I feel as if FFG should release some means of protecting tokens which would make this easier.
