I plan to run EA on a test game, and I'll do another with TRCs and I'll post results.

I understand wanting to run Gozs with your squad for flak and such, it all depends on what what your opponent does, i like the ability to try and do some deployment manipulation and see if i can get him to spread his attack ships out, makes it much easier to munch one at at time that way instead of all at once.

I disagree about Jendon, i find his ability worth his weight. Having Vader shoot twice is not something to over look.

I would like to know how your EA vs TRC's go. As for Jendon, I think its personal taste really. Vader shooting twice is really amazing, but sometimes I would rather have another squadron rather than have Jendon make someone go twice.

I honestly think that its purely personal choice. Although I have found Morna Kee and Steele to be some of the best ship damage dealers out there.

I'd like you to play those lists that you beat previously over and over again so that we can see if whether or not you just got lucky. (no offense intended)

Have you thought of adding in Bossk, you already have Zertik so you can Ping him to get the bonus Accuracy which can be used both fighting squads or ships. I would suggest dropping Morna Kee, once Bossk has the one damage he is just about as strong against ships as Morna and more powerful against squads. Then you have a few points to play around with. Bossk also has Grit so a little more escapeability to go and hit ships when needed.

I love Bossk and would take him over Morna every time.

It seems like you barely won the games where you are flying against fleets that are squadron heavy(like JJ's fleet)

Therefore, play those again. You did mention that you won 6-5 against JJ's fleet because of the opponent's bad positioning, so play that list more, or other squadron heavy fleets.

Tried out my list against my brother yesterday.
Lost Vader, Zertik, and Mauler, and tabled him.

Granted my brother is a complete noob and has no idea what he is doing, despite my best intentions in helping him build a list to counter mine. He flys what he wants to fly.

Highlights,

1. Tossing 5 red dice from one of my Arquitens side arc with those EA and Con fire and getting an Acc, two doubles, and two singles into his Frigates side arc. Even with the brace, he took two damage to hull.
Overall, I'd say tossing 5 red dice is about the same average damage as going with a TRC Arquitens. I never did less than two damage, not that the possibility of rolling all blanks doesn't exist, just not likely. It just comes down to matter of flavor and playstyle.
I like having the Evades for my Arquitens to cancel red dice getting shot at me, rather than having to spend on TRC to ensure damage.

ACM Demo is brutal and really helped my Arquitens push damage through redirects.

2. Darth Vader two shotting Jan due to Jendon's ability when I caught it away from escort. (But then getting roasted by Wedge after that. Double Acc, 4 damage meant a dead Vader after the counters from Jan.)
Also Mauler dishing out 15 damage over 3 rounds with his ability alone. Brutal. Soontir dished out 4 damage from his ability as well.
Valen did his deal and just straight up murdered generics.

Overall, very impressed with the squadron ball, I couldn't send my Gon's in to support (Too many angry corvettes around at the time) but I can see why this list is fun. I'll take it to some tournaments this weekend and report back.

ACM Demo is a wonderful pairing with the Arquitens, which is why I love it so much in this list. And Mithel is a beast, hands down he is just one of the best squads in the game. I'd love to see the list composition that you came up with, along with your version of the Squadron ball.

Getting games is getting harder in my area. It seems like 40k has taken back over as the top-dog, and nobody seems interested much in Armada right now. I'll try to schedule and get that game as soon as possible.

I did play another game against a 4 activation Tank-Dictor list. The list had a ton of squads (brutal ones too) and I ended up losing the squad game (in my opinion) as he wiped out most of my aces, but he himself was only left with a single Lamdba shuttle after. I was truly thankful for my Gozanti's and flak this game cause it single handedly stopped me from eating a turn of bombing.

It's the list i have posted on page one that i used.

As for what my brother had, he fielded 3 corvettes A's and a support Frig that held Rieekin. All with EA.

His squdarons was Jan, Biggs, Wedge, Shera, Han, Rogue Squadron, a z-95, and a generic yt1300.

He choose to go first, picked my superior positions. He deployed with his ships spread out, so I stacked one side and murdered his ships one at a time as he attempted to get his ships in the fight.
