New player with distribution question

By chrisoc13, in Star Wars: Destiny

Hey I'm new to the game (thanks to the Force Friday package) although I'm not new to FFG (heavily invested in X-Wing and Imperial Assault since day 1, but I was looking at buying a few booster packs and I was wondering about just buying a whole box of boosters. Does each box have everything in it? Or are they randomly distributed and you could still get skunked and not get a rare (or Legendary or whatever they are called) card? Jut debating what the best way to go about getting some boosters is. Thanks

6 legendary in each box of 36. The rest are rares. Each of the 36 packs will also contain one random uncommon card.

Thanks, very much appreciated.

Yes, buying boxes is the way to go in the long run. Buying loose packs opens up the possibility that the Legendary cards have already been pulled (of course, if you're a gambler maybe you hope that you're the one pulling them).

Outside of 1 rare/1 uncommon per pack and 6 legendaries per box, distribution seems to be random i.e. you will see multiples in a box (can't remember if you can see multiple commons in a pack).

I would say buying a box is a good idea. From there a few boosters, Then buy singles from coolstuffinc (or similar places) to fill out what you want.

I personally only buy sealed booster boxes. My advice is skip the loose packs.

Booster distribution: 3 Common, 1 Uncommon, & 1 Rare or Legendary (1 in 6 are Legendary).

Box distribution: 36 Boosters, 6 of which will have a Legendary.

Set distribution: 57 Common, 43 Uncommon, 43 Rare, 17 Legendary, 14 Starter (if any)
