Are the dice in Runebound 2nd Edition etched or just painted? I'm asking about both the movement and the d10 dice.

For the movement dice, it depends on the printing. I think the earliest printings had painted-on dice, then later printings had blank dice with stickers (after people complained about the paint rubbing off), and now the most recent versions have the symbols etched and painted.
I don't remember for sure how the d10s were marked, but I suspect they were etched. (I'd probably remember if they put in really cheap dice.)
I got a new copy today and it had etched dice for both the movement and d10s!
I purchased Runebound 2nd Ed. when it was new. The movement dice I recieved had stickers on them showing the terrain types. Never had any trouble with them... that is, the stickers did not peal or ware away.
Much later I ordered a second set of movement dice from FFG and I received once that were etched and painted, there were also a little bit larger. I really do like the new ones better.
The other dice just seem to be regular 10 sided dice. (but I don't know much about dice).
I recently bought the 2nd edition, so i'm newbie here. I'm a big fan of D&D Rpg games, that's why i choosed Runebound because it has a bit of rpg style.
After reading some reviews about this game, the most complaining is the movement dices. Since the dices are etched and painted, which can be wear off from time. My doubs is if there's no other way to protect or to get a new dice movement than this normal version.
I have played Descent and Doom board Games from my friend and liked the dices concept. Why don't they do a new version of dice like doom.
Cheers
