Another great article, Biggs.

I'd be interested to hear writeups for how your games went and all, if you ever get to it/want to write them up in the Write-Ups portion of the forum

Great article, truthiness.

Was trying to count how many GR75s in the top 8 lists, there. Keep losing count somewhere around 65 of them - anyone get an accurate count?

What... 13 of them?

To be honest im always suprised to see so many squadron based rebels doing well in U.S events. Imp squads seem so amazing at present.

Looks like high activations have been powerful in this event as well.

Needs more flotillas.

I would only call one of those Rebel fleets "squadron based." Only one of them was designed to bomb heavily. The rest are there primarily to set up strategic.

Im actually really glad to see rebels doing so well. On paper I still see the Imps as having a slight edge, but clearly its nothing significant.

As to the flotillas, I think its cool and thematic that the imps have seemingly shied away from heavy flotilla usage in favor of larger ships while the rebels are still bringing their transports. Looks like Star Wars to me.

The CR90 swarm looks like more fun, so I'd say go with that if you're doing well with it. And you don't expect a lot of Cracken action.

You know which I think you should run:

Madine.

OMG y'all have no idea how frustrating that list can be.

Also, currently Shara/Tycho are a better minimalist duo. Just because of that I'd put it on top.

I think it's maneuverability could work against an Ackbar Defiance or BTvenger lists.

This. If no Crackens in your area, Madine probably. Just to tell BT Avenger to shove off

We're still alive. I swear. Work is beating Biggs and I down pretty hard core. I finally got around to my Island Games AAR:

http://xwingtactics.blogspot.com/2017/09/belated-island-games-aar.html

I had success in a SC (24 points) running 3 HHs as pocket flotillas, Yavaris, and BCC, commanded by the Princess.

Part of the key with the HHs was setting up so that I did not need to use every HH for squadron activations every turn. Once the bombers were in a good position, they didn't need additional squadron commanders. That allowed me to rotate 1-2 of my HHs with non-squadron commands--who needs to CF or Navigate this turn?

I still see the occasional Cracken, but I managed to fight the last one I saw to a 5-6, MoV 7. Lost on the last point of damage of the game, which otherwise would have been a 52 MoV to me. I resort to overt ramming against Cracken, so I can at least play it close :)
