No. APT is not the default crit effect.

If you have Damage Control Officer, contain can deal with apt.

Apt and default crit is NOT the same.

With fire-control team you can have both.

However, only the first card (presumably the extra apt card) is dealt face up.

So there's no point in resolving both apt and default crit.
