We finally got the boxes sorted. w00t!

And the grand prize is almost complete. Here is the proof of concept.

Sadly no.

There was a fair amount of Drama behind the scenes when the Boxes were ordered from Esty. The seller (whom we don't want to give anymore business to) didn't add the Clan Mons, insisted we pay to ship them back to him, and then complained that the Mons were "too hard" to do.

Instead, the nice folks at Affordable Engraving here in Portland helped us out and the Mons look great.

Another question for you: Launch event starts at 10am, so how long do you think the launch event will take? 2hrs? 3hrs? Since this is single core and you apparently have prizes for top of clan and the like are you doing a swiss format event, or just randomly play whomever you want for say 3 or 4 games? Also, are you using the Roles determined at GenCon for each clan, or are people free to use whatever Role they want?

The event starts at 11 am with rounds beginning at 11:30.

Since we have custom prizes this will be swiss format. And people can use whatever role they want.

How many sleeved cards can those deck boxes hold?

100 Sleeved Cards. Maybe more, depending on how thick the sleeves are.

Emerald Legion would like Everyone who showed up yesterday the play in the Portland release Tournament.

Everyone had a great time. Our array of unique prizes were quite the hit.

We had:

3 Crab

5 Crane

4 Dragon

3 Lion

5 Phoenix

6 Scorpion

and 6 Unicorn!

Our Top Four were Scorpion, Crane, Lion, and Dragon. The grand prize was hotly contested.

But in the Final of Lion vs. Crane, where both Clan Champions flipped turn One, Crane pull off another victory.

Awesome event guys! Had I still lived in Portland, I would have loved to attend.

Do we know how the events at the other stores in the area went?

Red Castle Games? Rainy Day Games? Portland Game Store? Rune&Board in Hillsboro told me that *zero* people showed up to their event Saturday night, so that's why I ask.

It also occurs to me, is there one clearing house on social media like Facebook or Meetup where we can post local L5R nights and events for game stores in the Portland metro area? Might make it easier to spread the word and build up Portland's meta into a strong one.
