A first-time poster
I just got 2nd edition (On a very strict type budget, I know I'm behind) and have a few questions.
I know on the box it says 2 - players, but since it's COOP is there a way to play solo? like with the app? I'm hoping to be able to play solo as getting my friends to together is a tough right now, due to some real life issues

Yes, solo play is supported by the official app, by a couple of quests in the fan-made Valkyrie app and by various fan-made cards decks (e.g. Redjak's variants). There are also official POD-expansions around that can be played solo, but I am not sure if you can easily get those in your area.
With the base game only, app play is really great if you want to play solo or cooperative against a well-made AI. It's free, too.
