The Raddus

Possible entries down the line. I feel that this and the Finalizer are more likely than the SSD (No offense you dreamers).

SWM20: Executor

SWM28: Finalizer

SWM31: Raddus

(I rather agree that we'll see the Raddus and Finalizer before the Executor...but I still think that SSD is coming!)

The shape of the front of the Raddus, resembles a little the old legend Dreadnaught.

Oh the overbite! ;)

Stats:

6 front 5 side and 4 rear shields

2 red and 3 blue front, 4 red and 5 blue sides, 1 red and 3 blue rear.

17 hull

Speed 2

Command 3

Sqd 4

Engineering 5

2/3 blue anti sqd.

Upgrade slots (take your pick)

I mean, would playing these ships be really fun? 2 turns of movement and it's already on the other side of the board with such a size.

Starwars.com databank, they have updated it with some new TLJ stuff.

Also, this picture:

These remind me of some sort cartoon, but I can't think of exactly what. Whatever it is, it's not a compliment to the design.

(actually, it would be totally fine, with out the ****ing ski!)

Another new ship from TLJ:

I love the multiple nods to the SW continuity that this ship makes. They really picked a good name for her, and the design is reminecent of the Viscount Class Star Defender too, which I dig alot:)

That would be a good release. I can see them still being large ships. The sliding scale comes in handy dealing with these increasingly silly proportions.

I'd like to see either of them at a size between the two sizes of Epic for X-Wing. Big without being Raider/Cr90 big, which could be problematic given how the bases yaw in Armada.

As suspicious as I am about the new Star Wars movie, I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt until I see it. I think TFA was good enough, and Rouge One was comparable in quality to ESB.

That gives Disney a B+ average so far in my book. Give 'em a chance.

Episode IX will feature the MegaRaddus, which is 8 billion zillion kilometers long and shoots down entire galaxies in one attack. It is fighting against the SuperMegaUltraBase, which is the size of one billion galaxies and which blows up half of the material universe with each pull of the trigger. Kylo has already killed half the universe... can our heroes stop him from killing the other half? Eight hundred thousand trillion Resistance spies died obtaining the secret plans!

Spoiler alert: it's a trap.

It depends if the stick outside the distance 3 deployment zone, and I doubt that they can move at speed 4 ;)

Great! I'm overjoyed! Now the Rebels Resistance also has a ridiculously oversized toy....

Also, those airspeeders defending the rebel base during an evacuation from the white remote planet when thet get attacked by walkers are called Ski-Speeders.

Thank god nobody will compare them to the attack with Snowspeeders. Who would connect the words Ski and Snow.

So basically Battle of Hoth all over again? Why am I not surprised?

It looks a bit like the McQuarrie Mon Cal artwork, with pointed bow and bridge set into bow:

Funny, it doesn't look much like a drunken radish.

Re: skispeeders ... maybe they're just trying to create a smoke cloud to cover other troops? Otherwise, this one goes from rule of cool to rule of dumb pretty quickly.

No way man, episode IX will involve the FO discovering that the new super weapon - SolarSystemSlayer Base - was actually built on a sleeping Unicron. When Unicron awakes, he will communicate to Finn and captain Phasma's child through one of those life-model-decoy looking transformers (from 2nd movie) made up to look like Leonard Nemoy. CGI Spock will will then blah blah blah.........

was going for parody and lost steam

I like it though I'm 99% sure it's going to Arvel Crynyd (green squad )it up to bring down the mega star destroyer.

Really living up to its namesake. If you have a problem, ram it.

Wait, they made a 2nd Transformers movie? I must've missed it.

I feel like they decided to shut up the people that were complaining that a Star 'Destroyer' was so big by saying "Fine! It IS a destroyer, just wait till you see a battleship!"

Which is hilarious.

Base yaw is not a problem. You only need to set the notch for the tool further back on the base, so the pivot point is more centralized.

For my double large base SSD, all movement is made from the rear base. Giving it a more cumbersome feel than an ISD.
