Depends on what your after. Top level tournament play? From what I can tell most lists involve RAC with Kylo Ren and Palp at PS10 next to Vader or QD with Cruise Missiles at PS11.
Several matchups will crush you. But Nym runs scared and gets tabled with auto PS0. If your just out to have fun on a casual night.....make sure you still bring Kylo or proxy Palp.....otherwise all the Rebel/Scum stuff that "casually" throws 4-5 dice at high HP high PS with Turrets or PS10 pre move bombs will basically make any of your low HP arc dependent aces 100% useless. Kylo Ren and Palp are part of the faction for a reason, they are by far the Imperials best cards. If your not assigning Blinded Pilots to low def high hp turret ships or alpha striking them off the board round 1-2 your going to have a tough time. Use Kylo/Palp and you will be ok with practice. Ignore them only if you dont mind starting at a disadvantage in most games. RAC/Vader: Loses to Multi Ship lists with alot of HP and things heavy on control since RAC needs to ARC dodge and Ion is a death sentence.

This exact list isnt "broken" tier but it combines some of the stuff that works...namely PS11, Alpha Strikes, and Kylo. To give you some ideas.

Im no expert but these would be my uninformed tips:
RAC Tips
1. Arc Dodge Always. At PS10 with a 3 dice turret you should be able to boost out of arc.
2. Get into Range 1-2 for his PS Ability & Palp Dat Crit to Kylo stuff at 1-2 Green dice. Push through PS0s early on Nym. Blind Dash always.
3. Do not Get Bumped....dont let Bomblet Tokens control your decisions, just fly through em if thats where you want to go
4. Learn how to fly around Crits...youll be taking alot of em with 0 def dice.
5. Roll Good Matchups and Natties
Vader Tips
1. PS11 Always
2. Cruise Missiles....slow roll than 3-4 speed in for a 4-5 dice TL/Focus attack. At PS11 you can consistently land these without being predictable.
3. Run away with 5 forward to either get out of range or turtle and loop back until the angle of attack is favorable. Fight on your own terms. Never get into a "turning" battle with Vader.
4. If your playing against Potensity or any Poe with Black One title.....refer to #3 and save your cruise missiles for him.

Quickdraw Tips
1. Arc Dodge by using his Rear Arc
2. Don't lose all your shields at once
3. Save your Focus for Defense when logical

Kylo Ren Tips
1. Use him wisely if there are 2 ships with 1-2 green dice across from you.
2. Take gambles trying to land crits with him if you have a bad matchup. It can swing games you shouldnt win.
3. Blinded and Damaged Cockpit should be used liberally against the new dmg deck
4. Kylo Condition does not get removed from play if the ship carrying Kylo Dies.
5. If you see the OG Damage Deck......smile and assign this ASAP: Pilot: All players must ignore your pilot ability and all of your Elite upgrade cards.
6. If you see a list that wants to bump you consider starting off with Stunned Pilot to scare em off.
General Tips:
1. Never eat Taco Bell for Breakfast, KFC for Lunch, and Boston Market for Dinner in One Day. The loose stabilizer crit that follows is generally devastating.
