So the 2 player-game is...

By vLabz, in Star Wars: Destiny

Hi, do I get it well if I say that SW Destiny 2 player-game is a better starting box than the 2 existing starter sets ?

  • maybe more balanced (?)
  • up to date
  • maybe it makes more sense to get two boxes

Each deck is 20 cards, with 6 die cards and 2 non-elite characters (about 21 points). Single copies of everything. Also, of the 12 events in each deck, some are recycled from previous sets, which can be a boon for new players. You won't need to chase Tactical Mastery from Awakenings, which is a very solid uncommon.

To my eye, they seem balanced with each other. That being said, the original starters were balanced if you added a second trooper to Kylo's side.

Considering a legal deck is 30 cards, 30 points of characters, and the traditional deckbuilding logic is 12 dice cards to 18 non-dice cards, you'll almost certainly want two. That's what I've got on preorder.

I would buy the new 2player pack first. Enjoy the out of the box experience then pick up a seccond 2player pack if you want. Wonderfully you waste no cards or dice picking up a seccond copy of the 2player pack and you have extra cards to deck build with.
