No, only the dice added by speed is effected by that limit. That limitation is not stand alone its the second half of a sentence after a comma. It has a specific applicability to the first half of its sentence only.

There were similar discussions over Proton Rockets. You can add a die with Jan etc.

If you pull it off right it's 7 dice with rerolls! Bloody expensive gimmick though.

Edit: expose is primary only instead trick shot or oppertunist while using the new gila or teroch to strip tokens

Beat me to the expose punch, but if you're tricky, you can still pull off a 7 die ndru shot w/ trick shot.

Miranda's fastest speed is a 3, which means even ditching a shield and adding a die is only 4 dice. While good, it's the same effect as on a faster flying ship, with a higher tax.

Miranda can shoot 5die concussion missiles, which aren't bad at all considering that's they change one blank into a hit automatically.

Or (soon) Harpoon Missiles, which whilst they're a point more than cruise missiles, give Miranda the same punch in real terms without locking you in to a relatively predictable (with a K-wing's dial) speed 3 move.
