You could only do that in the old forum, or for a few minutes after transitioning to the current forums.

THe ability has now been removed.

Again, if you have it changed, it was grandfathered - but it is now stuck that way.

Not that much. It's not even a foil avatar.

Mine is a weird cat from some unknown FFG game. I think she might be Bastet.

Mine is the thief from Citadels- the first FFG game I ever played. I orginally chose it because it was the most ninja-y avatar I could find, and I've stuck with it because to this day I haven't come across anyone else using it.
