So if I understand it correctly, the 2017 Armada Store Championship season is just now wrapping up. So when are the Regional tournaments held? I'm confused because apparently there is a National tournament being held at NOVA today and tomorrow. Don't Regionals happen before Nationals? Some one help me understand!

Everything got jacked up this year due to ffg splitting Star Wars games into their own "worlds" at a different time than the rest of their world championships are being held
Not quite.
We have a set schedule for Store Championships, Regional Championships, and Worlds, as well as the Continental Championships (NA Champs will be Genco, for example)
However
Nationals float throughout the year.
This is going to continue .
You still get Byes transferring through, but just be aware that Nationals will be different locations and potentially at different times every year.
Regionals will start in November (Stores have until the end of next week, basically, to apply for them), and they wil runm basically, util Worlds.
If you are in the US/Canada, you may find that a Regional Win, as well as getting you a Bye at the next Nationals, might also get you a reserved spot at Worlds. I'm not sure if that carries on as well.
SO, in Short :
Store Champs are from June to August.
Regionals are from November to April.
Worlds is in May.
NA Championships are at GenCon, Euro Champs at their big Con (whose name escapes me, sorry -UK Games Expo?)
But
Nationals
are potentially free floating

We better. We're still the largest recorded Regionals this season to my knowledge.

Based on the application released today, stores for Regional Championships will be released around October 5, with the implied earliest permissible date being Nov 25, and running through March 18 of 2018.
