"Aloha Strike" should replace "Alpha Strike"

By thecactusman17, in Star Wars: Armada

I propose we change, as a community, the term "alpha strike" to the term "aloha strike."

Because "Aloha" means both "hello" and "goodbye" at the same ****ing time. And that MC75 ship base indicates we're going to be saying a whole loot of "Aloha!" soon for both factions.

This double meaning pleases me. I DEMAND THAT IT BE DONE!

I always say Mahalo when I get to do it.

Is it settled then?

I didn't know they had Hawaiians in Canada. Is this like a reverse Fresh Prince of Bel Air thing?

Remember, I'm Australian ;)

Back in my RAAF days, I actually did a short tour which saw me at Hickam AFB for a chunk of time. Ingratiated with the people there. Some things stick :)

Whoops, my bad. How was living in Hawaii? I've heard it's a lot different than vacationing there.

Not from Hawaii, but let me take a stab from being at another American vacation destination: everyone is really friendly towards tourists until you ask them to stop blocking your f****ng business entrance for a vacation photo.

Well, we ARE the sort of people who consider the phrase; 'owyagoin'mateorright? to be both a complete sentence and a single word, and such gems as "bast*ard" and "mate" to both be either terms of endearment or insults depending upon context and tone of voice. I'm sure we can come up with something :P

You can only do this is you get hula skirts on your squads and leis for your ships.

Imagine, all the tiny hula skirts flowing as your move the squads in for the Aloha Strike. Your enemy is distracted and confused, and then they die.

New Jersey, really. Never would of guessed. But hey im from Ohio. Nobody gose to Ohio, unless you like overcast depression, rivers that are on fire, and comedy soprts teams. If so the Ohio board of tourism would love to meet you and pay me my 10 bucks for the plug. In all fairness though the whole rivers catchig fire thing only happened once every two or three years untill the feds made the heavy industry stop dumping litterally ALL of the chemicals in the water. Now they just dump a few, really enhances the drinking water uf you ask me!

You know, I have never used the word "streuth" unironically. I always thought it was like VB - something we export to mess with the rest of the world, but not actually partake in ourselves

I find I say streuth and fairdinkum when I am *really* tired, and generally swearing under my breath at that point...

... Also, I've been away from home for so long, I would murder someone for a can of VB.

Yes. That was for.

Not with.

Just clarifying that.

(I havn't had a proper drink in almost 10 years now.)

Shhhh shh shh, it's okay, we can help you. I'm sure we can find a way to send something actually drinkable over to you, like a Carlton Superdry, there's no need to get worked up over swill like VB. All Aussies who go overseas know your pain, of having to make do with lesser beverages. There's probably a support group or something, in fact...

I mean, if I'd kill for a VB, you don't really want to know what I'd do for a Crown Lager.
