Double Dead mans Switch
I don't see why not
Two separate triggers causing the same effect still causes the effect twice.
Theres not many cards that stack but usually when they dont it specifically calls out it doesnt in some manner or another (or its just simply not possible to have repeats of it)
I think that there was something against it. Go figure! There has been so much changes in the cards that half of the time I'm playing them incorrectly!!

I don't think there is anything against this, but if he had Jabba token stack on there, the tokens would not activate ... or something!
What if Double Deadman Switch was Harpooned as well?!
You should be able to Double Deadman since the card doesn't say " Limited ".
Hang on, we'll get a ruling in a second or two, " JUDGE!! "

I rule that it is not only permissible, but more than that, when one DMS triggers (because it doesn't say "each other ship..." it also deals a Damage card to the ship being destroyed, which then triggers that ships destruction again, allowing the other DMS to trigger, which then destroys the ship again, allowing the first DMS to trigger again, and so on. The end result is a Dead Man's Switch feedback loop which deals an infinite amount of damage to all ships at range 1 of the dying shadow caster. Boom.
(J/k, but wouldn't that be cool if it worked that way?)

"Once per opportunity" is pretty clear on the avoiding infinite loops thing.
That aside, yeah, you can do so. The real question, alas, is... why would you? Poor Deadman's Switch. Released in a more naive time.
