Oh no, your Flight Controllers ship is decent but not amazing at hosting Flight Controllers and despite that fact is still seen in tournament-winning fleets?

Ha ha... I'm on board with the rebels here. Rebels DO have good carriers, but the Empire has the best, overall carrier. So Rebels naturally want some type of mirror for that.
I also, understand that we don't always have to have perfect symmetry - and maybe the rebels next ship that serves a carrier role, might be different as well... perhaps 5 squadron value, but no squadron upgrades... or perhaps an AMAZING squadron title, but only a squadron value or "1" - stuff like that can tend to be frustrating, but keeps the game interesting.
I'd definitely like a carrier platform that is an alternate to Yavaris/GH. Somehow improving the effectiveness of medium fighter cover would also be appreciated.
As for Rebel FC debate, I don't think they need one. The thing about the components in question is it creates a strong alpha strike. With that in mind you just need to run the tech to push Hammerheads and AFMII to those upper levels of squadron value. Rebels stronger base squads make it more likely to smash several squads in a alpha where they can then sustain themselves from the highground. Looking at the quaser, it just seems some rebels want a strong plug and play FC platform.
As for MC-75, The fact that Imps are getting a high sustain brawler in this wave makes me think the MC-75 will fill a similar role just from the carboard we have seen. Odd possibility is its a form of "Enforcer" heavy escort for some of the rebels vulnerable small ships. "Oh, you want to threaten my Command Pelta." *Thwack*
I think that the exact role the MC-75 plays is going to depend a lot on its upgrade slots. Also the upgrades are going to be important for differentiating it from either type of MC-80. I predict the following upgrade slots on at least one version of the MC-75:
Weapons Team- Rebels have relatively few ships with this slot
Offensive Retrofit- combined with a weapons team slot gives another option for rebel boarding parties, which are so far limited to Hammerheads and the Assault Frigate
Ion Cannon- its a big ship with a good amount of blue dice, so why not? Then again, withholding this could be a real weakness and pretty unique among large ships
Ordnance- a good amount of black dice and the ability to take an ordnance upgrade will make it significantly different from the MC-80s, and also may invite using Fire Control Team for once
No support team, simply because both MC-80s already have this slot
Fleet Command certainly seems like a good option, and I would welcome it, but since Pelta already has it I wouldn't really count on it.
I also think it will come in at speed 2, otherwise I feel like it will start to get way too expensive given its awesome armament, hull, and shield values.
