What role will the MC-75 fill?

I don't know what it could be though. I think it will likely at least have no support slot and speed 2, giving it a hard cap at speed 2.

Aye, this. It'll be speed 2, no Engine Techs, I'll bet a fine malt on it now.

Probably the reason they've brought it out with an admiral that can insta-deploy it close in.

Here's my thoughts on the 75s role. Unlike the 80s, which are specialists (front arc vs side arc armaments), the 75 is a generalist from a firepower standpoint. Individual arcs are good but no real stand outs. If ffg goes for a thematic build, expect good squadron numbers. I think the hull/sheild mix plus it being an older ship design (75 being older than 80), I am betting on low repair and support options. Also expect it to be slower and less maneuverable, ala VSD. Command and weapon loadouts will be what make it amusing I think. Maybe the best way I can explain my thoughts is to say it will mechanically stout compared to the 80's being more technologically advanced, hence better options. Anyway, maybe someone will understand my thought processes here. Brute force vs finess?

That front arc screams "I'M A'COMIN FOR YOU!" to me. This version of the ship is definitely a heavy brawler that is designed to finish off a heavily damaged ship as it escapes out the other side of the combat zone.

To quote D.B. Weiss (co-producer of Game of Thrones) about Euron Greyjoy's flagship "It's a big F.U. ship captained by a big F.U. guy."

At least that's how I see the MC75 being based on it's dice, shields, and hull.

The first time I saw it I called it the Leroy ship.

Just a guess: 1 brace, 1 contain, 2 redirect. Command 3, engineering 3, Squadron 2, speed 2: 1 click at speed 1, 1 and 1 clicks at speed 2

Im thinkin the 75 gonna be speed 3 gotta be. It would at speed 2 be too much home one light, for probably comperable points.

Exactly. It is (finally) a Rebel star destroyer. The difference is that it's supposed to keep shooting after zooming past the target.

I’m genuinely jealous, this ship is going to be incredible if the upgrade bar and maneuver chat is set right. Especially with Raddus.

As long as it is a sultry chat, throw Ackbar in there and i will pay $5.99 a min.

And it weghed alot too. Thats why we were all in better shape back then, curls with thre reciver, spinning a rotary that the term greasing the gears was a metaphor. Plus the walk to school was uphill both ways, across a river of broken glass and rubbin alchol. The summers were 20 degrees hotter, and the winters were 40 degrees colder. If you wanted a coat you had kill a buffalo with your bare hands to get one!

Seriously though pick up the phone isnt just a metaphor for answer the phone, it was (many moons ago) a litteral action to talk to some one. In theory it still is.....im in serious danger of a tangent here again.

I may only be thirty but I remember what an acoustic coupler was. Aka a "slamdamn"

Have just seen the new Necromunda is being released in November... coupled with Wave Heaven its gonna be an expensive end of year. If the MC75 upgrade bar is awesome, it'll be doubly expensive...

Is MC75 medium or large? If medium I'll take 2. If large, I'll buy one

Yeah i'd like to know the official size as well. I need to know if i need 2 or 3 of these bad boys :-)

The MC75 is definitivly a large base ship. (Something big is coming! Not something medium...)

if its medium ill get two... if its large ill get two :D

I'll need to see upgrades and the final ship, but I'm probably looking at 2

I've got 2 MC80 HO and 2 MC80 LS, so why not 2 MC-75? ;)

I hope the MC 75 is a brawler. I like in your face kind of play style. Which is why I should probably play imps, but I love the rebels ships. I also like the doom arrows. But I think I enjoy the challenge of using a fleet against it's natural design. I see rebs as a kind of run and gun kind of force, not too big on head to head. But I'll be damned it's a riot.

The 30s are brawlers. . . they're all you need. A bunch of 30s, a repair-spamming, defense-oriented HMC80, and your enemy shall tremble in fear. . . @Visovics can vouch for me. :)

Try a triple Liberty list with engine techs. It is a hoot and surprisingly viable

Honestly that was true in wave one and to a lesser extent in wave two, but with Torp Hammerheads, CR90Bs with SW-7s, and MC30s, Rebels can play a short-ranged aggro fleet just fine nowadays and you've got a variety of commanders that can jive with that playstyle (Mothma, Rieekan, Cracken, Madine, Leia). You don't really have a big ship that does it well, but the MC75 front arc that we've seen seems to indicate that may be changing...

Awwwwwyeah I love this kind of talk. This kind of stuff is the best!
