Has anyone heard when regionals will take place. It would be nice to have enough time to plan for the chance to attend multiple events.

I don't think the application for regionals has even gone out yet

Regional season doesn't start til mid november, so probably wont get a schedule til october at the earliest.

Thanks for the replies. It sure would be nice to have more than a months notice to make travel plans...

I just don't understand the order. Worlds should be a reset. Then Store Championships, Regionals, Nationals Worlds.

What an I missing?

that is the order.

Worlds is in May. Store champs just ended. Regionals in Nov to March. Nationals can be whenever. Ours in Canada are in September for example.

You go store, regionals and then worlds. In what way is that not a build up ? Nationals and continentals fall in between as well.

It was put out today - Stores have until September 7 to contact FFG / their international distributor to apply for a Regional Kit.

Last year, announcement of initial places were the 18th of October, so I dare say it would be safe to assume a similar timeframe this year.

Tournaments like nationals and continentals are ususally tied into larger existing events. The north american championship has historically been at gencon, which used to also dovetail nicely into worlds. Gencon ain't changing dates for x wing, but it's still one of the best venues to host the event.

Nationals is a bit out of season because they do them at big conventions, so it's not an easy fit.
