Nice write-up!
I am a mostly-Scum player, and I agree with your assessment of Genesis Red: just not as cool as one would hope. Scyks in general are simply not sufficiently mobile, but they are still a boatload of fun. I just keep coming back to them, but usually the generics supporting something scarier. I haven't yet actually tried Quinn Jast - you say you managed to reload at least once a game, sometimes twice? Do you reckon that was mostly due to people not seeing him as a threat on those reload turns, sort of just counting him out?

Yeah, I think Genesis would be better if tokened up ships like Soontir were still around. Quinn ability was fun, although whether just having a Tansarii Point Vet with mangler would be better is an tricky question. My opponents seemed to view Zuckuss and Genesis as more of a threat.
I liked your write-up. Scyks are a bit weird. If Genesis was PS 9 native, he'd be an acceptable ship, because e could either take PTL for insane action economy or go up to PS 11 and become a real ace-killer. As is though, VI is stapled to him, and PS 9 is not enough.
