Inferno Squad, make a generic elite squad, and the actual Inferno squad.
Because so much awesome...
Inferno squad could definitely work, considering this is from an ea/dice game would it be hard for FFG to get the rights to do them?

It shouldn't be really, while EA/Dice may have created the characters and the story, they're owned and directed by Disney/LFL and can be handed out as they see fit. Disney has seemed pretty willing to let anyone from anywhere in the organization free reign to use other owned work whenever it fits. They may be super protective of their IP in regards to outsiders, but within the confines of Disney itself, they're actually pretty lenient.

Especially seeing as the Raider Corvette, designed by FFG for X-Wing, is in the EA trailer!
Ewok gliders, Ewok infantry, Jawa Swarms, Sabine, regular Rebel troopers, Imperial Army troopers, Black Hat Death Star dudes, Imperial Officers ...

Well, considering FFG designed the Raider that ended up in the game, seems like it's all free game.
For Rebels I would love to see Wraith squadron (Especially Piggy and Lt Kettch) and Page's Commandos, as well as more mixed troops.
And for Imps I would love to see one of their hover tank models and the Dark Troopers.
Hi guys, first post - completely new to the idea of miniature war games. I've always been interested, and admired the painting of figures, but never took the plunge. Simply too much to understand about games with long histories and massive armies. It seemed overwhelming. The fact that there is a new game, set in a universe I love, means that this strikes me as an opportunity to take a dive and try it out.
Anyway, in terms of characters, for me it stems very much from a desire to see armies from across all the movies. Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire we have. I'd also like to see Galactic Republic and Separatists, as well as Resistance and First Order. That would allow for 6 armies for new players to build, with appropriate commanders from each. A 7th faction of "mercenary" type characters would be awesome as well - these characters could join any army, and would represent some of the "for hire" characters in the galaxy. Smugglers and Bounty Hunters, really. Then maybe a "Scum and Villiany" faction featuring Hutts and Cartels. I don't think they fit into the "mercenary" category.
As for specific characters, I'm personally dying for Kylo Ren, General Grievous, and Yoda as Commanders. I'd also like to see lower priced Commanders so that you can have some army flexibility. If General Veers, as an example, was only 100 Points (Compared to Vader's 200 Points) then it opens the door for an extra set of speederbikes, as an example, to allow for some strategic army size decisions.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing how the game rolls out.
Some units I'd like to see;
Captain Antilles
Rebel Troopers (Tantaive IV)
Rebel Honour Guards
Rebel Scout Speeder
Death Star Troopers
Imperial Officers
ISB Agents
Imperial Army Troopers
Since there sticking with the time period for the original three for now.
I can see all the IA characters, rebels (The breached that in Xwing), Rouge 1, and the Hans Solo movie coming out. That will give us a lot units and characters to choose from!
We need all the important characters:
Dexter Jettster
Ishi Tib
Kybo Ren
Yaddle
Ponda Baba and Dr. Evazan
Elan Sleazebaganno
Droopy McCool
Edit: and Bea Arthur

But you forgot Jedi Master Bates.

Ah yes, Jedi Master Soon Bayts.
Another thought, this would actually be a fantastic opportunity to bring some book characters to life. It's unlikely we'll ever see any in movie form, but Rae Sloane, as an example, would be a great Imperial to have.
I saw someone else mention Mr. Bones... although I'm not a huge fan of most of the Aftermath cast I suppose they would fit into the era (Sinjir, Jas as a Merc, etc.)
What I don't want to see in Legion: some Expendable Universe crap stealing the thunder of OT troops.
Characters that I want to see in Legion would be original ones that are unique to the game. People mention a lot of imperial officers, but they're officers on a ship mostly. And outside of most of the main cast, we don't have enough examples of Rebel officers from the Original Trilogy.
Original characters that can be tailored to the needs of the game would make more sense to me rather than trying to force characters from the films that don't necessarily have any business leading a ground assault.
I'm torn when it comes to thinking of having a 3rd faction. On one hand, in keeping with the Original Trilogy as Legion seems to be doing (on launch at least) there's no third group large enough to be considered. A Scum faction wouldn't sit right with me because generally speaking, they're more about the money than they are about going to war to set up governments, building infrastructure and gathering resources/raw materials on a planetary or galactic scale.
On the other hand there are groups of pirates that have access to military grade weapons like arms, tanks, space ships, etc. Specifically the Weequay pirates that were at one time led by Hondo Ohnaka. If you follow his exploits from the Clone Wars and Rebels series, his band were a force to be reckoned with, at different points in time, having captured and imprisoned Dooku, Anakin, Obi-Wan and defeated both Maul and Savage Oppress, among others. Although the numbers aren't mentioned, it would be fair to assume that his crew was at least 100 strong and possibly two or three times that.
What I would really not be happy to see is an army led by Boba Fett, Dengar or the like--bounty hunters--we don't need that scum! In all seriousness, those fellows are typically for hire to bring in bounties, not to lead armies. You can bet that in some form or another they will show up in this game, the hoi polloi loves them and will demand them. Truthfully, I wouldn't mind them as long as they are implemented in a way that makes sense.

There's different force organization slots for a reason. Suspect if Fett is used he'll be a Special Forces, or perhaps fast attack option, not an HQ.
And the Imperial Military has Army officers too, we just don't see them as often, but there is one prominently displayed in the films. So expecting everything from nameless generic commanders, to named d-listers, to bit-part players is entirely probable.

This is my expectation for a lot of characters, tbh. I think that many bounty hunters, droids, and side characters may appear in this game... but they won't all be Commanders.
I couple units I want:
Storm Skimmer:

Hoverpod:

Landspeeder technicals, with lots of weapon options:

This may sound silly but I want to see Lando Calrissian, Lobot and a squad of bespin guards...
I want them to keep this military and keep the characters for imperial assalt. Nuts to buying everything again in +3mm scale

Just seeing this, I assume in response to my comment about the novels.
Question for you: Would you rather nameless Commanders? I've seen people looking for lower-cost Commanders - this is where I see the opportunity to bring in novel characters. Instead of create "Imperial Officer John Smith" they could use an officer from the novels. Looks like a random name to people who haven't read, but it is based in canon.
Just a thought. Cheers man.

Absolutely not. I don't mind commanders with a name. I mind commanders with a name that are better than Darth Vader or Obi Wan Kenobi. It is what they did to X-Wing. Newer has to be better and the more they have to scrape the barrel, the more overpowered the new stuff gets. It is called X-Wing because nobody flies an X-Wing anymore.

Got ya. Completely understand your resistance. I would be opposed to that too. IMO, Darth Vader and Luke should be about as high-priced as a Commander can get. From there, bring in other Commanders, but reduce their cost and their power. Power should be made up for by being able to access higher priced units or a higher quantity of units.
Thanks for the response!
