Unless we're stuck with Vader and Luke as the only forcewielders, I think Rebels could provide lots of others while staying in GCW era. There are lots of Sith-like Inquisitors to choose from and survivors of 66 like Kanan and Asohka. Even Maul might make more sense as a rebel than an imperial...
Inquisitors and rogue jedi?
Obi-Wan!

Doh! Of course. I'm sure the Emperor will show up at some point too.
I'd rather steer clear of the Disney channel stuff for GCW. That said, a couple of force users per side, or some force sensitive characters (EU head cannon 4Life) could be really cool without diverting too much focus away from the bread and butter units(whatever they may be) Save the jedi inundation for possible Clone Wars editions. The more jedi, the more wonky things get, or there just aren't enough legal slots in an army to use most of them....unless they count as a different unit type. We need force-deaf commanders, too, right?

I'd love to see the Emperor. Force lightning!

The Disney stuff has already hit all the other FFG Star Wars games. It's only a matter of time.

And I, for one, am glad! I really love all of the characters the new canon has introduced. I bet we'll get some Doctor Aphra action fairly quickly.
Would love to see (and get to paint!) the rebels characters.
Lots of canon options. Not too sure about Obi-Wan and Maul anytime soon, since there's no proper faction they could fight for atm.
Nevertheless, I'm convinced Ezra, Kanan and the Inquisitors might soon be part of the game.

Kanan is currently my favorite Jedi of the GCW era. I'm not a huge fan of Rebels, but I've watch the entire show (well, waiting for season 4 obviously), and Kanan is, in my opinion, the second best part. (The best being Thrawn. I love his character) If Kanan gets added I'm pretty positive I'll use him as my leader alot.
We have a fair number of Force user options on both sides that fit within the timeline of the Original Trilogy (more or less), which for Disney FFG purposes I would define as Rebels, Rogue One and the core Trilogy.
Rebels/Goodies
- Obi-wan Kenobi
- Kanan Jarrus
- Ezra Bridger
- Ahsoka "Snips" Tano
- Yoda
Imperials/Baddies
- Emperor Palpatine
- Maul (Rebels verson with robot legs)
- Grand Inquisitor
- Fifth Brother/Seventh Sister
@KrisWall You mean Ahsoka "fulcrum" Tano. Ahsoka "Snips" Tano is clone wars Ahsoka.

Actually, Maul makes more sense as Scum. He has his own agenda in Rebels, he's not Rebel and not Empire.
But my favourite scum would be Ventress in her bounty hunter time..

Rebels Maul and Ventress make a ton of sense for Scum. Dathomir Witches also make sense.

Definitely true, if there is eventually a scum faction.
I am looking forward to murder the Ghost crew with Vader }:-)

Tell him to watch out for slingshot fire. Maybe he should ask the inquisitor to provide air support via light saber
I'd actually like some generic force users. I know it strains canon almost to the breaking point, but I think it would be fun to put together a couple rogue jedi.

I actually really liked the inquisitors. Especially the sister. Thought the brother's hat was weird.

Ugh, Dathomir is one aspect of the EU that Filoni utter mangled for me.
Give me Force-welding, Rancor-Riding, 80's Barbarian Jungle Chicks

Is the one in the background using his lightsabre as a helicopter thing to actually fly? That would be distastefully ridiculous.

Yup, the inquisitor lightsabers all do that.

This was exceptionally distastefully ridiculous in an otherwise good episode.
