By Pilot Tho Makk, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

I wanted a strong fleet in which the capital ships were all Imperial Star Destroyers. It is my plan to buy three Imperial Star Destroyer expansions and one Chimaera expansion. Naturally I'll make the Chimaera the flagship.

Admiral Motti increases the Hull of every ship from 11 to 14.

For the ships themselves, I'll have a Cymoon 1 refit and three Imperial II.

Minister Tua then gets added to the Cymoon 1 so that it gains the Defensive Retrofit.

All four ships are then given the Redundant Shields Defensive Retrofit and the Cymoon 1 gets the Shields to Maximum! Fleet Command. This means that each ship can regenerate 2 shields each turn. Combined with their higher Hull value, this should make for a tough ship to crack.

Every ship then gets Gunnery Team, as I expect to be outnumbered and likely outmanoeuvred. For when I manage to land a few good hits, I've added in the XX-9 Turbolasers to cause some damage. The Cymoon 1 gets a second Turbolaser choice so I added the X17 to make sure a good round of shooting has a chance to punch through shields and cause some damage.

My offensive retrofit slot on all four ships has the Quad Laser Turrets for a counter against enemy squadrons.

For my three Imp Star Deus I picked Leading Shots for their Ion Cannon slot. There's some good choices, but I thought spending a blue to get some rerolls was a good one.

That just leaves the Title slot for all four ships and an Officer slot for each of the Imp Star Deus. There's also the squadrons to think about.

I've got 178 points remaining.

Thoughts? Opinions? Criticisms?

My only plan with this fleet is to survive incoming fire while bringing the pain. No subtlety.

Since this is obviously a thematic fleet, there is nothing better than 178 points in generic ties, interceptors, and bombers.

I think 4 Motti ISD's with regenerating shields will be tough to crack, and with a big enough squadron ball adding in their damage it will be offensive too. I like it!

I want pictures once this happens :)
