So the only thing I take from this:

There will be almost no ISD;s at UK Nationals in a couple of weeks.

Does this mean that to be an anti meta list you will be taking ISDs with sensor teams? ;-)

5 is already the average and IIRC ( @Baltanok) it's falling. MSUs and other swarm fleets have no reason to leave, if the balanced meta still includes large ships, which the data supports.

Also totally missed the joke.

Who summons me? :)

Wave 6 store champs: winning lists were generally fewer activations than the overall population. (4.1 vs 4.5)

Outlying fleets (6+ or 2-3) did still complete and win, but 4-5 were by far the most common.

What is IIRC?

So word from Q is there are 20 ISDs in play for 25 players. ISDs apparently out number flotillas.

That's the Truth, Truth.

It looks like the universe post-Hoth; Rebels on the run, Avenger ISDs everywhere.

Except for Paul's triple space whales on the top table.

Edit: Many double ISD lists, though I did not count. I did not see an Imp list without an ISD though one may be there. I only counted six Rebel lists. I faced four ISDs in the first three rounds, two Avengers, noboarding troopers. 'Course I'm playing in the shallow end of the pool at the bottom tables, so hardly indicative.

Oh wow, so Paul is pretty much running the same thing he has for 2 years now.

Unlike some, I'm giddy when I see my opponent running a Sloane swarm list. Many ways for easy and quick squadron kills, but without a plan for Sloane, yes, you will be under deserved pressure.

This is why you either take Defenders (my preference), Super-Friends, or spares

Currently sitting in the Phoenix airport with a 9 hour layover.

Flight leaves at midnight and I'll arrive with an hour and a half to check in to the convention and tournament. Nova open is my 1st convention ever, so I'm just excited to be there.

At the last minute i switched up my Moff J fleet to Solane.

Guess we'll find out what Heat 2 is like!

Looks like a Heaver/Kwak top table. My money is on Kwak. He's one of the best players in the area and he flies that list well. If he loses it's probably a 6-5. I wouldn't be surprised if they go 6-5 and Eric overtakes them.

Just took a look around. The Imperial Navy is out in force for heat 1.

Top table is a MC80L + Admo vs Avenger + ISD. So about what you'd expect.

Table 2 has a fleet with 6 Hammerheads and 6 Rogues.

I guess Sean mixed things up a bit with the Lib. That's pretty much the same fleet Kwak flew at Regionals, though. Interesting to see them have a rematch at Nationals.

6 hammerheads! Gold! We need to see these lists I reckon. Great to see some new stuff

Yeah, if you want internet, it's generally either pay for Wi-Fi or go upstairs

Still think Sloane has the potential to be one of the good admirals. In the right list, with the right player she can be top tier.

+1.

She is not unbeatable. But she is one of the most stabile lists that i can think of, that can beat most of the lists. As long as you have a good squadron list and someone who can fly squadrons. The number of anti lists against Sloane is rather thin.
You don't need the perfect list that can beat all (if such a list would exist, everyone would play it :P). You need a list that can beat most meta lists and most rogue lists. And Sloane is perfect for this (IMO!).
And i think that i am really good at guessing and evaluate some lists .
And to @Church14 , this happens when you play against "bad" squadron players :P. Normaly i am the one who is slaughtering the enemy squadrons with Sloane. Beating 134 points in rebel squadrons and only losing two TIE Fighters is really fun. It can always work in both directions.

But back on topic!
WE NEED INPUT! :D.
Lists, standings, data, statistics. Anything you can get ;).

The top is double ISD Jerry.

#2 is Ackbar Death Pickle, TRC90, flotillas, and Strategic shenanigans.

They have both flown lists like that before and been successful, so no surprise they're at the top of the cut here.

I'd be impressed to see that. Now I'm so used to seeing Sloane with anything from 80-134 in squads that Ive had the chance to build counter-play to deal with her. I've developed a much better appreciation for flak.

My claim of killing 9 TIEs in an activation was a sort of perfect storm. That opponent was used to seeing generic Rebel squads with few aces so didn't appreciate what was coming. Blue-Blue Toryn-buffed flak, moved and used FCT, double tapped and triggered Ten Nunb twice, used Wedge and Dutch to kill 4 more. He still had 5 left.

So how are the rounds at the NOVA open? 2 days with seperate pools? Or two days of swiss. And everyone has to play both days?
