Ho can you manage to hit him all the time and giving him crits all the time? You're talking about a ship that will bump you all time.
That's a nearly impossible scenario if Nym will fly well.

RAC with Kylo Ren crew is a pretty hard counter to Nym.

You fly well yourself and avoid the bumps? The Havoc's dial isn't THAT good.
And if he does bump RAC, you shoot him with your other ship and Palp a crit there.

No way that you can avoid a boost/broll with Adv. Sensor at PS10 with a large ship.

But if you Kylo him even once, then it's all at PS 0. After that, Nym intentionally bumping RAC anywhere close to consistently would be extremely hard.

Mmm does't he needs to get a crit? Nym has 5 shields.

Nope. I'll show you the dark side goes right through shields and RAC has a built in crit conversion. So if the only die that hits is the crit, instead of stripping the shield, it would just assign the crit to Nym.

lol. Put a rock between you and him. Be at range 3 of him.
Move after him, you're PS 10 as well.
No offence, but git gud definitely applies here. If you're flying RAC such that Nym has even a chance to bump him with AdvSens, you're probably flying RAC badly.

Mmm Nym is way more maneuvrable than RAC in my opinion.
Wtf stop saying git gud here git gud there. What's your problem?

I mean, it's a forward-arc firing ship with highest native PS7. So basically borderline unplayable.
I think you've misunderstood what one of these means on the interwebs:

I have been playing with Nym (Scum) so many times now, I love him, but it ain't nothing too fancy. Easy kill for your enemy if concentrated fire on him. If let alone in endgame then he can do some serious damage and very consistent as well.
All though I am very stoked about Vaksais, like said before. Viktor Hel seems interesting enough. All though I am happier with update I'm getting for Talonbane Cobra. Also updates coming for Starviper are awesome.
Although I am now days playing more than 99 percent of my games as casuals. It's just way more fun this way! ![]()

As there are more experienced players out there (and here on the forums) I am thinking if Nym would still be the bane (so I have to get one and start learning) after Guns for Hire is out or not spend money on it (since I barely play) and go with a list I know well enough, but that might not be very efficient.
Ideas, thoughts, comments?

wow, that's one long sentence
Nym is an OP pilot that beats other OP pilots. I would be surprised if we get something worst. But we never know...
There's is the ultimate filler ship in a 70-something point non-mindlink squad.
We, uh, just don't have all that many examples thereof, at the moment.

Nym's dial is worse than an E-wings, he's on a small base, has a single action, and has a very specific and predictable game plan. And you're saying he's more agile than a large base PWT with boost? Please.
I think thweek has the potential to give the meta some trouble, however it will highly skill based, depending on which condition you use, and then being able to use the new barrel roll title correctly. He's also completely dependent on your opponents list.
Talonbane might have a bit of a resurgence, but I don't think he'll become a tourney destroyer.

Obviously..
Small base is way better than a large base.
He is PS10
He has Boost and B-roll
In this scenario, he has Adv. Sensor.
Yes, he is way more maneuvrable that Rac in my opinion.
In topic: I think that the PS4 Kihraxz (the double tap one) will be the only ship we can guess to see in some meta lists.
Edited by CerveYour opinion is wrong. He has the same moves, discounting his reds, as RAC does and if you count his reds he only gains a 5 straight and 2 t-rolls. RAC has a better dial in context. He can use his 3 turns without costing himself anything.
The trick is DON'T FLY RAC TOWARDS NYM. RAC is a kite, in this matchup he should be pointed at as much open space as possible, all the time. He should NEVER be in position where nym can drive for a bump. This is why I say git gud. Because flying kites is a skill. It's a different ball game from flying most other ships and it's easy to mess it up. Practicing it will make you better at it.
Saying nym's PS10 as a defence is irrelevant. So's RAC.
