So after seeing the demos what does everyone hope we get for swag for SW Legion?
Personally I'm hoping we don't get stuck with those hideous, hopeless cheap plastic gray movement tools. I'd love some quality acrylic range and maneuver tools.

tokens alt/ art cards, some alt sculpt heroes would be nice too( but i doubt it).
I liked the armada movement tools but not sure about the legion ones. They look fine, but i'd prefer they be cheap but acceptable to keep the starter cost down.
Alternate art cards are always nifty. But really I want more sculpt variation for the basic troops. Having 4 stormtrooper/rebel squads that all look the same would suck. So if they do an expansion for stormtroopers, rebel troops I hope they aren't just a rebox with new cards but also alternate sculpts. I don't need 4 duros or more in my army...a sullustan and twi lek could be cool though.
I'm expecting the standard FFG swag...
I'm NOT expecting...

- Acrylic tokens to replace cardboard tokens
- Alternate artwork unit cards
- Alternate artwork upgrade cards
- Acrylic turn counters
- Acrylic range rulers
- Transparent or marbled dice

- Alternate sculpt models
This will match current FFG swag so far... They have never given alt paint X-Wing minis for example (which is kind of the equivalent in a game that has prepainted minis).

What about all the aces packs?
I'm calling this one now. Within a year there will be new sculptures of Vader and Luke. They will come with new cards for sure. There is no way they will pass on that opportunity

There will be alt sculpts for sure. But not as event prizes. They are going to $$$ on that train.

They were talking about what might be available as prize support for organised play, rather than expansions available for sale. I would assume alt-art cards and acrylic versions of anything cardboard is always a good shout. Turn marker or victory point tracker, possibly. Anyone know what they've done for RuneWars OP?

This thread is not about releases, is about "swag", meaning "the exclusive tournament rewards".
In x-wing is all the acrylic stuff, alt art cards and some other trophy-like things they throw in the mix.

I agree. FFG has a history of having the same unique character with a different subtitle in their card games. Destiny has a Darth Vader in the first set and then a different Darth Vader in the second set. The Star Wars TCG has several iterations of characters like Vader and Luke.
Just give us the alt art upgrades you don't supply enough of in the expansions

So far for runewars they've done full bleed unit cards for the heros, acrylic objective tokens, and their plastic objective and deployment cards.

Ah sure. Took it as "FFG has never alt painted a model." Yeah I don't them doing that as a prize.
