What other Latari Units are "known"?

By IceQube MkII, in Runewars Miniatures Game

Asking those familiar with Terrinoth or the RuneWars board game... I played the Battelore Command app... so I wonder if there will be double attacking archers?

Pegasi Riders are a thing?

Thanks.

The "core" units for Runewars (board game) and Rune Age (deckbuilding game) were*

  • Deepwood Archers
  • Storm Sorceresses
  • Darnati Warriors
  • Leonx Riders
  • Pegasus Riders
  • Forest Guardians

We'll almost surely get the Yeron Riders (Yeron is the new word for Pegasus in the lore, since Pegasus is technically the name of a single creature from mythology). The Aymhelin Scions seem to me to be "baby" Forest Guardians. I imagine we'll see Forest Guardians when we start seeing Chaos Lords and Barrow Wyrms. The Storm Sorceresses will probably not be their own units since they are part of the Unit Upgrade Expansion. Other than that, we've seen all the normal Latari units in previews.

There are plenty of other units from the Diskwars era, but that was thousands of years ago, so things have changed since then. Also, most of those are variations on archers and swordsmen with some hunters and scouts mixed in. They're pretty unremarkable. The elves also had a greater number of spellcasters. Some of the Latari rode horses, unicorns, or elk-like things in addition to pegasi. There was also one unit with three elves riding a giant dragonfly, but I have doubts about seeing something like that. They also had a dryad, which could be an interesting option. One really cool disk was the Carniverous Plant of Exi, but it seems like the Aymhelin Scions do pretty much what that thing did in the way they move slow but can slow down other units by issuing immobilize tokens.

Some units that I think would be cool to bring back from Diskwars are the Daughters of the Dawn or the Poisen Naveka. The Daughters of the Dawn were an all-female group of sword-wielding warriors. In Diskwars, they were immune to friendly fire and immune to spells. I'm not sure how that would translate to Runewars. The Poison Naveka was a female elf who could activate twice in one round. She could also wound herself to wound an enemy disk. Again, I'm not sure how well that would translate.

SIDE NOTE: They used to be called Lathari. Also, they had crossbows in the elf faction in Diskwars, so those are evidently not technologically advanced weaponry.

Appreciate the long and informative post!

Yeah, I can see the "bigs" being 4 tray sized or 2 tray sized.
