I've really taken to the idea of the bullseye firing arc from the kimogila and plan on adding it to both enemies and friendlies in my hotac campaign. The N1 with its fixed, centerline cannons and torpedoes seems like a great rebel candidate for receiving this treatment next, and I think that a hyper-nimble ship like this could easily take advantage of all the shenanigans with the bullseye!
N1 Naboo Resistance Starfighter!
lol nope.
EDIT: I did not realize the context - that ship is for a highlevel HotAC campaign, and those lines are of course not bullseye firing arcs
That's more powercreep than anything FFG has given us so far.
Why 4 bullsey arcs?! And with that pilot ability: how does he not shoot at everything all the time?! And with the mod: how is someone ever not within the arcs and now can only ever roll 3 red dice against these 4! agility?
Why are they not straight? The angle makes it huge, which is wayyy too good
4 agility AND an evade action?!
White segnor loops?! Speed 1?
Why is the dial so incredibly slow? The Naboo starfighter was displayed as a ship almost as fast as the A-Wing, at least in the games I played
Sorry, but those are ideas that are way too good and not reminiscent of the N1 at all
Edited by GreenDragoonLoved the minis, but the cards need a serious revision.

@Refugeanoth is having more fun with this game than anyone else on these boards. If he thinks the card's good, it's good until proven otherwise.

Those blue lines aren't firing arcs, they are HotAC AI arcs. If you check out his other posts, he is running a very high level HotAC campaign so these ships are probably not too powerful for his game.

Thanks for the feedback! Should have mentioned that this is a ship designed for upper level hotac play, so the stats are skewed higher as a result of the enemies the squadron tends to face. The blue lines you're looking at are used for hotac ai and arent the bullseye firing arcs. Those would be the same normal arcs from the kimogila with the addition I suppose of a rear arc that you can't fire from, but use to determine if the mods affect will apply or not. The dial is more a result of the ship being an older ship. Traditionally, older ships have been relegated lower speed and the n1, at least canonically speaking is slower than an a-wing, but was incredibly nimble. I chose to represent the nimbleness of the ship relative to the time period of it's creation with some excellent low-speed maneuverability and a high evasion value to represent the crafts small size and profile.

LOL! It is a game we're all playing after all! I figure if we're not having fun playing it then what's the point

that's fine by me

That sounds great and I'm sorry that I absolutely missed the context of your post.

That already answers 3 points thoroughly. The idea of 4 bullseye arcs is completely ridiculous so I had to be wrong. It's just that I've seen crazy fan made stuff before so I didn't even doubt for a moment that someone would put side-facing arcs on an N1... I'm sorry to have put you into that pot though. I was also so flabbergasted that I didn't even mention how awesome the minis look.

That makes the 1s and 2s ok, and I get that you have to compensate them somehow. But red 3banks is quite harsh. The dial is very similar to the B-Wing (with the exception of the 1s of course), and I'm not sure that the B-Wing deserved such a bad dial. Is the N1 really that slow?
Another thought: The pilot ability is very good and I already wanted to go into why it's too good (Dengar and Quickdraw are dominating, among other reasons because of their ability to shoot twice. It's also what made KananBiggs and Corran so good. And here you could have 3 of them in a squad - that's unprecedented firepower!)
However with more thought, I think it's a very cool balance that you got there. They have just 2 attack dice, but the title changes that. You need them lined up in the bullseye but you have no clue (or not much) at the start of the planning phase. Still, 2 dice with that many attacks could be too much.

No problem at all! I'd freak out too if I saw someone putting a ton of arcs on a n1 myself haha! And thanks about the mini's! Got like 8 more to paint up and I want to do them all in different regalia and slightly different colors like I did with my vulture droids.
It was only 50 kmph faster than an x-wing in spite of being much smaller and lighter, but with slower acceleration. It could technically serve in an interceptor role, and for the time it was plenty fast, but times change and I mostly tried to represent an agile dogfighter from an earlier era with the dial.
The bullseye stuff I anticipate being an excellent reward for skillful flying and fully intend to run my campaign from here on out with every ship utilizing it. This is more or less a test bed for seeing how well bullseye-related effects would work and the benefits they would provide to otherwise lackluster ships from both an offensive and defensive standpoint. I went with the reduction of agility, double attack ability based on my experience with the same effect from the scimitar I designed and have been running in my hotac campaign for about 6 months now. If you gauge it right and can position your ship well, it can be absolutely devastating, but alot of stuff has to happen to make it anything less than a death sentence for alot of ships that rely on their agility like this one does. All of it is very much based on the skill of the pilot and I like to reward my guys with some powerful abilities that trigger when a skillful play is made.
A small suggestion: Put that this is for a HOTAC campaign at the top of your post loud and clear? People are seeing the upgrade cards (and boy howdy, are they weird) before they see the post's context.
Lovely models, though!
