Seriously guys to solve the diuting of the game you pretty much have to do what Deek does. The only problem with his way is you could end up with a poor ratio of movement for the monsters. OR get too many environments so that they really don't seem long lasting.
I suggest doing what Deek does but make sure you have a good ratio for the movement and types of mythos cards. Then take things a step forward and make sure the gates are not unbalanced.
It is going to involve work ut I really don't see a better solution to the problem.
I would advise having the mythos deck made before the players arrive.

True. Though personally, I mix BGotW (minus Cult cards) with my base AH in every game to allow for a slim chance of ZOMG!
@Curator: Hmmm, interesting. I have yet to encounter a problem with monster movement and/or gate variance, but environment cards DO seem a little too common. Granted, I've only played a half dozen games with this or a similar method. I'll definitely look into a more detailed separation technique. Off I go!
In my opinion, that is the best feature of Black Goat: the Arkham location bursts. If I was playing Innsmouth alone, I would consider adding Black Goat for just that reason.
For anyone who might be curious:
So, having looked at the total number of each card across the base game + all expansions minus some cards I've personally chosen to remove, I've calculated the approximate (lots of rounding up involved) ratio of headlines to environments to rumors that "should" ideally be present in a managed deck. I use several deck ratios in rotation (still haven't settled on one), and in this case I considered the question with a 10/9/7 ratio for a 26 card Mythos deck. Given these parameters, there appears to be a 15/9/2 spread. In a 26 card deck, there "should" be 15 headlines, 9 environments and 2 rumors ... ideally.
Now I'm interested. I already store each individual Mythos deck separately. It wouldn't be too difficult to further organize each into three sub headings per deck. I almost wonder if this is worth doing? I'd say the over abundance of environment cards seems to be the only noticeable downfall of my current method, but I fear the game itself might become a tad formulaic and predictable If I move too far down this particular path. I absolutely agree with manhandling the expansions when it comes to probabilities, but I almost feel that crossing the line between "ensure a good time for all involved" and "obsessive compulsive disorder".
