Return to Hoth threat mission question

By totalnoob, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

We are starting Hoth tonight, and have a question about Threat missions. When choosing the side mission, we will have two active Threat mission cards face up to select as well (in addition to the two normal side mission cards). The text on the threat card mentions possible rewards. For example "while this card is in play, Imperial Player claims the Supply Disruption card. Plus there is reward text at the bottom, for example "reward: networks restored reward card.

My question is, do the rebels see the actual reward card as well (the one with the medal on it)? Are they allowed to see these two different cards as outcomes to determine if they are going to select it? Or are the actual reward cards texts supposed to be hidden information, and thus a little bit of unknown information to them.

I know for the red hero side mission cards, I let them see the reward card so they know what they are trying to earn and decide if it's worth it or not. But not sure if the same should hold true for these Threat missions.

Thanks!!

Reward cards are open information and can be looked at at any time. Threat mission reward cards (Boons) have no additional rules, so the same should apply to them.

It's open information.

You're wording here has me wondering if you're misunderstanding the Banes. They are active until the mission is played. So it's not an outcome, its removal is.

It's possible I misinterpreted it, so thanks for the clarification. We haven't started yet, so they aren't in play (for the first echo base mission) - but what you say makes perfect sense. The IP gets the "reward" until the threat mission is resolved. Thus making it a tougher choice for the rebel team to just fly away and resolve some random side mission :)

That's actually a pretty cool campaign mechanic that they added IMO (I have only done core)
