Blue Squadron any day of the week. Point compairison you get a Blue with autothrusters for the price of a Red naked one a 26 points - a lot better

I regularly play Epic as Imperials against Rebels. PS4 and above can be very potent in Epic - I have found aces to get overwhelmed quickly with concentrated fire power, so they rarely get taken, and so there are lots of generics on the board making mid-range PS more important. On top of this Epic ships top out at PS4 so if you have initiative you can fire before the Raider. So out of your two choices I'd go for Red Squadron Pilot but for 3 points more it's hard to resist Red Squadron Veteran! Oh and I'd always take Integrated Astro over Autothrusters - playing against it it's so irritating when you get that crit and the R2 Astro bites it instead!
