Next you guys are going to try telling me Nebs need to be run with Ackbar.

Funny thing is, although being VERY hard to pull off, that can actually work. Image a Neb B pointing straight towards the side of a ISD at ramming distance. Now you can shoot out of both your sidearcs at the ISD while the ISD has to target your front hull zone. Funny thing. Go and put your Neb and ISD on the table and see it yourself. So yeah, might not exactly be the best idea but hey it IS possible to pull off :D

It's possible. You can do the same thing better with an MC30. Hyperspace assault it in and you're golden. Having tried the Ackbar Neb, it's OKAY KINDA but I feel there's better ways of doing it.

The trick is that they're prickly from all arcs. The flip side is that they aren't as prickly as Ackbar's normal steeds, so they're not THAT dangerous to charge (insofar as charging Ackbar is ever wise). I think @Crabbok tried this semi-seriously at one point, and he had moderate success, but nothing standout.

So far there hasnt been a ship of the medium or large based persuasion that wasnt packing at least one brace.

Which imo hurts it's chances

A) don't let it get attacked in the side. Position it/deploy it differently, put a flotilla there, don't rush forward with the thing.

Ha, I wish it was in your hand to decide wich angle are you giving to your opponent, specially the open side arc of the neB well you have 50% of the choice here. Maybe you play against training dummies or sth.

This is the spirit I'm talking about. While in the Rebel's side is all mock and games about how stupid, silly and fun things you can do, in the Imperial's side they are actually having good stuff. Anyway, lets keep the fun comming, my next try is going to be 16 combat flotilas with opening salvo!! I hope the opponent picks the objetive. Who cares?? it sounds fun right!?

If you don't think the Rebels have good ships, then I don't know what to tell you.

He plays against a two-time and one-time Adepticon winner pretty regularly (edit: and still wins those games enough that said Adepticon winners need to take the game seriously or else they're going to get stuffed), so there's that.

I also don't think he's implying that the Neb-B won't ever get shot in the side. In most cases it will at some point, especially as you get closer to enemies and your ability to control their line of sight options decreases. If you're good with your navigating, you can put it off for a turn or so, which buys you an extra turn of survival because for its cost a Neb-B attacked in the front is really tough. Salvation and Yavaris are both ships that don't tend to reliably make it to the end of the game but when used well they frequently trade up for their points investment.

I'm not as convinced about Redemption , much less generic Neb-Bs, but two rockstar titles is still a pretty good way to be.

You know what happened to the Scariff fleet right? Prove that MSU is dead when ISD GT is around.
