So i joined a west marches style campaign on discord and i like the quicker pace and availability of games, however i feel that the feel is more combat/comedy shenanigans oriented then the more grim introspective rp, which is a lot of fun but i'm eager for another outlet.

Anyone know of any other west marches styled campaigns with more gritty rp opportunities?

I'm running one (sort of west marches) at the moment. To be completely honest, the rotating cast and limited time to play (we are limited for 3 hours sessions), is hard to achieve a more grim experience.

Maybe you can talk to your GM and suggest an idea of aventure more on that line, or less combat oriented.

That sort of feel really requires some commitment from everyone involved. We game to have fun, and it's hard to be grim and focused when you're having fun with your friends. I tried for years to get a grittier RPG in a variety of settings and rulesets. I eventually came to the conclusion that, with one or two exceptions, the people I gamed with just weren't into it.
