Ketsu, old, Genesis mindlink build

I figured Genesis can be the mindlink engine when he takes target lock. Ketsu can reduce agility all over the place and Teroch can strip tokens. Could be a decent play on mindlink.

I threw tactician on there to add some extra control but I think you could also put glitterstim or outlaw tech. Or you could scrap it for pulse Ray shield on Genesis.

I've had success with ketsu lately and wanted to try and theory craft with the new sycks.

Thoughts?

I like it quite a bit... Mindlink has a special place in my heart, unfortunately I stopped playing due to people in my club never stopped complaining it was over powered on Fenn and blah blah blah. Getting off topic, I like the list, 3 Ps7 is good and I like all 3 ships, I just think it'd be a good idea to clear one point some where to add Dengar to Ketsu, because she hits like a truck like that and you can spend your action on an evade to compensate for Ketsu's lack of sturdiness in comparison with Ventress. Maybe you could strip off the title from Teroch?

I just see a problem with it... if you catch a list where every one moves after you... you might run into some problems with Teroch not knowing where to go, Ketsu where to turn her arc to, and Genesis not getting tokens.

Oh well, you'll see what to do, but I really like the list and wish you the best of luck with it! :)

My list

After manaroo nerf, I have been looking into a replacement and went for scyks. Tried Serissu w/ Fletchette. Genesis w/Ion, TPV, and Inaldra w/ Ion, Mangler,HLC.

Serissu is a no-go cause I like my focus dealer going early, before Ketsu and Teroch move, so I know if Im getting blocked and need one of them to focus instead, because I like Ketsu taking evades and Teroch repositioning or target locking.

Genesis is PS7, so he can move first, but I found that right now, there are lots of PS8+ and token stackers are less and less being replaced by high hull/shields ships, so I decided I would rather just save points and go with Inaldra. This allows enough points for Ketsu to have Engines, Countermeasures, Gyros, depending on the cannon you give inaldra.

I was able to play with it for the first time last night. It went pretty well. Some thoughts:

Ketsu: ability only triggered once. Title only triggered once. Took a beating. Dengar crew was a good choice.

Teroch: ability only triggered once.

Genesis: ability only triggered once and I needed to target lock person I didnt want to shoot at to get it to trigger.

My thoughts. I know this is getting close to paratinni list but my thoughts are dropping Ketsu to Assaj and allowing the shadowcaster to be more tanky. This frees up points to upgrade Teroch to Fenn, who will hit harder and can flank better. As well as put pulse ray shield on the syck for a little regen.

Sidenote: maybe I'm realizing why paratinni was so successful anyways, because of these thoughts.

I love the feel of a mindlink list, being able to disengage with one while taking focus that allows the other two to take a second action when fighting.

I'm a big league of legends fan so I like the team composition so to speak of your off-tank/bruiser in Assaj with a little bit of soft crowd control, your front line assassin in Fenn who dives in, blows someone up and then gets out, and then your backline ADC in the syck just putting out consistent damage.

Here's my thoughts on new variations:

I'm in a local tournament this weekend, most likely facing a lot of two ship lists and tanky rebels (kannan/Biggs, dash and friend, myranda nym, maybe dengar and friend) which one of those would be best for it?

I would go with Inaldra, there alot of High PS above 7 right now so genesis might not get those tokens, also Inaldra will be rolling 4 dice, instead of 3, and you have that 1 point bid that is better than nothing, also Inaldra will be moving early, so you can use her to block or focus without getting blocked. I'd say keep her ability to a minimum, I used her only once and it helped on a 4 dice attack, but next round hurt a little. Only use it when you know you can regen safely the next turn. Also, and this might not be that good an advice since I never actually played paratanni, although I did beat it a few times, I'd say, sometimes don't use Lattz, not if you can afford to take the hit and the stress will cripple your opponent the next round, there was a game where I kept getting range 1 shots with my ptl feen because he'd double stress me, but I'd roll 5 dice with TL+F and he would always remove one of them, I would clear the other and repeat next round, if he'd taken a hit I would have been in a worst spot. Not being able to have actions and have a pitiful attack.

In all my Ketsu and Teroch games, Ketsu's ability didnt trigger much, maybe once a game like you said, but just her ability on the table changed how every enemy ship flew. I had a regen Norra curl up in a corner, defenders instead of 4k would 3 sharp away from the fight knowing Ketsu was going for the 4K.

But that said, in todays meta, Ketsu has an even harder time with ps10 adv sensors ships, and teroch drops tokens that arent really in play anymore as the tokens that matter these days are target locks and reinforce. Which is why I don't fly the list anymore.

Going with your Fenn/Asajj list I would take inaldra. PS7 Red isnt so hot
