Imperial Objective-based Fleet

By WAC47, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Looking for feedback on the following:

Strategy is to bid for second player and let my opponent fly into my guns while in rack up objective points. I'm not sure how it'll work in practice, so any insight is appreciated!

Edit: Also considering dropping a TIE to upgrade the Interceptors to Defenders, leaving a 4-point bid.

I would take Salvage Run over anything with GSR. Also, how do you plan to control those squads?

I'd switch two TIEs into Howlrunner. More dice, comparable survivability in most scenarios, same number of deployments, and easier to command.

The build isn't bad. I'm still not sure what the best blue is for a GSR Interdictor, but DT isn't a bad option IMO.

And just a tactical consideration: your bid isn't especially strong (though this depends very heavily on your meta), so you need to consider the possibility that you'll have to go first.

Thanks for the feedback! I hadn't looked at Salvage Run very closely, it does seem to synergize very well with GSR. I'll have to play around with set ups.

Yeah, I didn't think enough about squadron commands. @Snipafist suggested on Reddit to switch out one raider for two coms net gozantis. That should help. And Howlrunner is definitely being added.

My local meta isn't known for huge bids, but I'll think some more about what to do if I end up going first (or what I can cut).

I think Salvage run is a great objective for Imperials, you just have to make it the most inviting for your opponent.
