TBH I was slightly underwhelmed about the details and the colors.

To be fair, it is just a mock up. If you look back at the old release posts about the Liberty, for instance, it doesn't look anywhere near as good as when it does in the flesh.

Really? I think it looks super bitchin. I like the blue/yellow theme, and I am trying to put it on all my fleet. Put some light highlighting on this and I think it's going to look great. I cannot wait to get my hands on one!
The thing I really like about the model is, it really does look like a non-military ship adapted for military purposes. It has that lovely organic styling on the majority of the body, but then the much more utilitarian addition of the command tower etc. It looks exactly what I think a Mon Cal ship should look like so early in the fledgling rebellion.
Dose any one know base size yet? Its lookin kinda medium.
Side note. Do you think its tournament legal to pxoy this model with a phaser?

Pretty sure it'll be large. Similar hull and shields to Liberty and Home One.
It's shown right next to the ISD and their bases are the same size.
It's Large.

Don't worry, its a 3d model. 90% of the time the physical miniature looks a lot better.
Sweet was worried that i was suffering from "optical delusions"
I like the cut of this ships jib. Firepower wise looks decent all around, but not on par with other large base rebs. BUT blue black front, red blue sides i think this ship is gonna be a blast. Im thinkin that after seein raddus and the profundity title i think that its goin to be a major support ship. Maybe high fighter command, maybe the command or expirimental uprades.... I think the phaser will be an excellant force multiplier, with the durability to be the flag ship!
I hereby declare that speculation season is now OPEN!
I'm going to withhold full judgement on the ship until I see the ship cards. However, I love the model design. That ship is going to be an excellent candidate for repaints with the smooth lines and multi-piece body.

Well the renders are the same size, sure, but they would be.
It'd be the ratio of the dial size vs the base that would really tell, and...I sort of can't. It looks like the dials are larger on the MC75, meaning it'd be a "medium" base...but I can't be sure.
I think it's going to be a large ship, and I'm ok with that. The game needs more options for large ships that can be ran alongside other large and medium ships effectively.
Yes! In the same vein as the whale and the pickle, We here in this thread can now lay claim to this ship's official Armada nickname: the phaser!

I am wondering if this ship is going to have a fleet command option. I really hope so. I don't want to have to take stinking pelta for them when the imperials can just take a freaking ISD for one.

I no longer hate on the Pelta. With the right commands and style of play, it can be very effective as a support element. That said, it plays differently to other ships that share many of its characteristics. When things start to click, it's brilliant.

I actually don't hate it either. And I like the assault pelta as a doctor for the doom pickle. With external racks for an extra sting. But it is just a little expensive and a little fragile. If it had a defensive retro or was speed 3, it would be one of my favorites.
I also don't understand the Pelta hate.
So many people have turned around and said, "Man, I'd love the Neb-B as a ship if it had some way of getting some extra Side Shields and trading a Brace for a Redirect......."
You know what? That's a Pelta. AND THEN IT GETS BETTER THAN THAT.

It's the speed limit, I think. Speed 2 ships get maligned a lot.

When was the last time you saw Neb-Bs zipping around at speed 3, though? That's the egregious point... They're happy to Slow-Roll so they can either be maximising their front arc (Salvation) or Commanding Squadrons (Yavaris) since those are the only ways you see them fielded as comparison...

Plus, to me, the clear plastic stand that holds it up looks odd in the pic. Almost as if there were two plastic stands holding it in place because of how large it is.

Wasn't saying it was necessarily my opinion (in fact Vic and Dic are speed 2 and they're my two favo ships), but I think its a perception thing because speed 2 feels constraining, especially on a small base ship . I would argue that speed 2 hurts the assault pelta, though
I really don't. Its rarely a primary target on approach, so it gets by. Being one of only two viable Flechette platforms gives it hope too.
it would be better with native speed 3 for sure, but it's not a liability without it.

I cant unsee that now thanks ![]()
