It looks like we get a better ISD candidate for the Avenger title: the Kuat refit seems the perfect choice to be the new horror: Avenger, Montferrat, BP, ECM, LS, EL. Id run her with Jerry ofc. Reroll to the sides included, deadlier front, and lot harder to kill then the current popular kits. And the current one causes a lot of trouble already, maybe a bit too powerful. Now we get an even more powerful version. Dont get me wrong, I'm a loyal servant of the Emperor, but... I'll say sorry to my opponent every time I one-shot one of his/her ships.

It's only got squad 2, so you won't likely be able to 1 shot many big ships. Even locking down a brace and contain, they still have a redirect, etc. To have a decent chance at doing so you essentially need to hit the brace and redirect, and have an accuracy for the other redirect on most things

Montferrat gives you obstructed if youre at speed 3 or higher, and discard it if you bump. And, yeah, you can only lock down 3 tokens if you have expanded hangar. 1 brace-2 redirects, voalis. Comes to play at 154points.

You can't have expanded hangar and boarding troopers as the ship only has 1 offensive slot.

Boarding Troopers+Avenger locks down two tokens, with a decent chance for an accuracy from the 10-dice monster of a front arc. ECM will let your opponent keep a redirect available on most high priority targets, though. So it can't just remove a doom pickle or ISD from existence unless they're already somewhat battered. Victories and Interdictors are probably safe too if they kept their shields up. A Liberty, Assault frigate, or anything smaller, though? Dead. Overkill dead, actually, which might make the more versatile classic Avenger more popular.

An accuracy on 3 red and 2 blue isn't huge though. And yeah ECMs will keep things alive

At 57 points each I don't see how people aren't just spamming the quasar to either set up avenger or just shred tokens permanently....

Run a standard ISD 2 decked for damage with 2 of em and you're killing something... lots of something...
