New at the forum and Gladiator repaint

By >kkj, in Star Wars: Armada Painting and Modification

Hello everyone, i'm new to this forum, although i have been following it around since some time. I had a really ugly Gladiator (bad wash paint job), so i got a second one that fortunately looks fantastic. After a while i realized that i dont really need 2 Glads, but since the first one was so freaking ugly i wondered if someone with no interest in repainting it would actually buy it... So i decided to repaint it and well... it escalated quickly haha.

None of those images work. Try using a different host like imgur etc.

Should be working now!

Ooh, I do like the Coppertone feel

cool painting idea, it needs some shading to be top. if those are victory marks, it is very successful as a patrol ship

/edit: as not needing 2 Glads, I personally have 4 (or is it 5?) but in fact you do not really need even one, so why not go for 3?

Yeah it's just that to me the ship is more of a obscure ship and i dont feel like wanting to run 2 of them :D Although i know that you can probably run like 4 of them. Didn't one of the World Championship Finalists of Wave 1 run something like that?

EDIT: oh and those white dots are supposed to be windows :D gotta admit, stole that idea from @Xeletor s MC30c... i think im gonna upload my AF2s right now, they are kinda similar...

Dude, they're some of the best ships in the game - the Imperial MC30! How can you not want to run as many as physically possible (though I only have 2 myself)? And now that it looks awesome too, why not keep it, and make your enemies fear the copper vessel of death?

Not bad, on par with FFG standard. A tip when pin washing panel lines (as it looks like that is what you did) is gloss the model first, gives the ink less to bite on and fill the cracks without marring panel edges and leaving a penumbra. Then matte is down.

Cool! I am using a similar paint scheme on my Corporate Sector fleet.

I really need to take some pictures... and find a place to host them that lets me post them here.

I like the look of that a lot! That yellow/copper combo looks sharp yet subdued somehow.

Yes please. Love me some CSA ships.

Scum colours, neat!
