Well, so far, all fighters in Armada have been ported over to X-Wing. That seemed like it wasn't going to happen for a bit, there, but then X-Wing just got the Havoc, too, in last wave, so...
I'd say this is a clue for a future X-Wing wave!
These are probably large enough to be Huge ships. Could this be how Thrawn makes it to X-Wing to become the new Palp? Also, I don't recall anything in the lore that links Thrawn/Chimera to Mandalorian ships - Could this be a teaser for Rebels S4?

its still an outright massive ship for xwing. Ghost is pushing the limits as it is and that thing is 10m longer than the ghost!
So maybe it isn't too late for a Rogue 1 tied release?

This, if it comes, will likely be a scum ship. There is no scum faction in Armada, so all scum ships are either rebel or imps. The other madolorian ship (protectorate Starfighter) is scum already. And in rebels at least, maul flies one of these and he is definitely not flying for the rebels or the imps.

Maul just got a crew card, in the phantom 2. Looks to be scum and ezra/rebel
Not sure, I can really see the Gauntlet being with every faction. Gar Saxon served the empire and there were a few ships they used for the empire. Many other mandolorians in X Wing are part of the Scum faction so I can see them getting it and Maul is certainly no friend of the Empire or Rebellion. But by the end of season 3 of Rebels Ezra owns the Nightbrother and Sabine's clan supports the Rebellion.
Maybe it can be released as a Tri faction ship?

Experience has shown, you can get anything added to X Wing you want..... as long as there is a 260+ page thread demanding it.
It'd be a really interesting scum epic. So far those ships were separated into "small support ships" and "large combat ships". This one could break the pattern.
So, while I'm been an advocate of just rescaling it to fit better on a large base, something @Infinite_Maelstrom said got me thinking of a new size category. He suggested

Well the fact it's on fighter freighter base in armada could mean they plan to tweak the size to make it a large base in x-wing. I mean all epic ships in swing are small base in armada while large base are single fighter . Just a thought

That's true - of the 5 'Epic' scale ships in X-Wing (Gozer, CR90, GR75, Raider, and the new C-ROC) the first four are all in Armada, and all of them using the 'small'-size Armada ship base.
Yet the Gauntlet is clearly on a fighter stand. (Granted, it's one-to-a-stand, which usually means 'large' base in X-Wing vs 'small' base...but we already knew that)
That does suggest 'not Epic' for X-Wing.
While I think the Chimera is cool looking, I'm a little disappointed that Armada has decided to start resorting to repaints already.
And yeah, it's super weird watching them constantly try and shoehorn Scum ships into a game with no Scum faction.

In some ways, I agree with your repaint disappointment, but I also really, really wanted them to release a Chimera pack. That model looks awesome.

Well the problem, as noted in discussions elsewhere, is that the groups we have as 'Scum' here in X-Wing just don't have any canonical Armada-scale ships (partial exception for the C-ROC Gozanti, which could be a small-base Armada flotilla...hardly enough to build a faction on!)
What the Chimaera release does do, which is interesting, is prove FFG is willing to do 'extra base plates and extra ship card' releases for the game - it comes with 3 of each new ISD type, and 3 new base plates. That's very like what FFG did in 'Most Wanted' for X-Wing to introduce the Scum.
Pretty sure that game won't get Scum , but...I could see an 'Independent Systems' faction, like the Corporate Sector Authority? IIRC from the old WEG sourcebook, they flew Victory-class starships alongside CR90s, with Z-95s among their fighters choices. All of those already in Armada...

itll look dumb if they change it. the airlocks and cockpits on the epic ships already look foolishly small, and making a gozanti fit on large base(which is a close analogy of the scale adjustment) would be dumb. a lot of us buy this game because the scale is at least close on most of the models. id be reall bummed to see something shrunk to 1/500 scale just to avoid it being epic.

the specifications disney released say nope to you. its cannon that the Komrk class mandalorian fighter is 68.1 meters long, and the gauntlet is a shorter 52 meters long. for refence a gozanti is 41.8 meters long. the gauntlet is also 52 meters wide, at 1/390 scale like the other epics it would be almost a foot square cube on the table. think 3 gr75s next to eachother

The Imperial Gozanti is ~64 meters long .
wookipedia said 41.8, but i guess theres different makes or whatever, so ill concede the imperial navy one may be bigger.

its still 52 meters wide (so 1 x-wing shorter than the imperial gozanti is long, wide). aka bigger than the ghost. the ghost is already so much bigger than its base that i ussually have to remove it if it gets within range one of another ship, lest they physically overlap.
