I've seen on a couple of other miniature sites that the price of the plastic used in making minis has gone up a fair amount and have now had a chance to man handle the dragons minis and they do have a fair heft to them, especially when compared to the other figures (even other creatures). I haven't weighed them (I don't have scales that can go that low) but this might go some way explain the price of dragons

(though I will be glad when single race packs come out so you get more minis for your buck)
