First 2 trays of elves completed
Normally I have a long rant about painting...not as much this time, I expect.
The elves are at the bottom of this link: https://www.amazon.com/photos/share/D4Msl6mjXP1oLcy1U152Qha7G1yH6DgDLmTo6r2bBkJ
The first couple were my color test - the based ones I'll be fielding.
Here's the thing that I learned:
I went to an art store and bought 2 .000 brushes, about $5/ea. and that is a game changer.
The 2 sets were: the first set had silver bows, the second have white bows, the 2nd set I had the .000 brushes. For me that was a big difference, I can get fairly straight lines!
I was fixing things on 2nd set that would have been called fixed on the first.
I was going to do more autumn basing - but started to look a little christmas-y.. not what I was after, so tried for "earthy" with overgrowth.
Can't seem to get the spirit of a magic "glow" out of the bows, but I'm starting to ask a lot.
Still Lots of errors - but getting better and starting build confidence and having more fun at it.
Ok,ask me again after the leonx...
