Anyone else feel ripped off when you get a play-set of "limit 1 per deck" cards? This would happen in LotR too, I always thought why not just add it in as a bonus, and include some normal 3x that you can use 3x of?

3x of 2 neutral provinces that are seeker / keeper only, and 3x of another limit 1 dynasty so its clan locked, not even splash... they could have given those just 3 card slots of the 60 instead of 9...

What makes you say that the neutral provinces are seeker / keeper only? i have seen nothing stating that.

I'd also note that it may not necessarily be that easy to switch out 1 3-of for 3 1-of. They did it once for Netrunner, but I don't think they ever tried again. Possibly something to do with the collation process.

It's written in the preview article at the end :

"Tears of Amaterasu also adds two neutral Seeker and Keeper cards to Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game in the form of new provinces."

So if there are two neutral provinces, they'll be #2 & 3, right? So does that mean someone's getting a stronghold in that #1 slot?

Uuuummmmmm, actuallllyyyyyy, Mantis and Spider have a Deluxe box coming out in the summer of 2018. All but confirmed at this point.... :D

A clan-specific province could be #1 if the 2 neutral provinces are #2/3, or you could have those provinces #1/2 and #3 be another crab dynasty card.

I doubt we'll see a stronghold this soon.

Was it the miniature market sight that just says only two new provinces, with no qualifiers. I wouldn't be surprised by new strongholds, though. Netrunner did the same with IDs.

No, even the miniature market blurb said 2 neutral provinces. However, I'd be more enclined to bet on the 2nd crab dynasty card than a clan-specific province.

As for strongholds, if there was a new one in the pack (and then one for each clan in the cycle), I think they would have mentioned it as it would be a very important part of the pack. But, maybe you're right and they kept it secret for now in order to keep some surprises.

I would think if there was any stronghold coming out in the cycle, it would be some sort of Imperial stronghold. Which could be kinda awesome, perhaps a stronghold that lets you include any dynasty characters with the Imperial trait, so you can bring in all the clan magistrates in one deck.

Netrunner and Conquest both did a new Stronghold equivalent per pack. I wouldn't be shocked if we see a bunch.

Assuming their original formula holds true, we're likely not getting any new spoilers until next week, should be getting a new fiction piece this week though. Unless they decided to stop those, which didn't appear would be the case according to the Scorpion fiction article.

I think if there's a Stronghold in this first pack, it will be for Imperial characters. It's the 'Imperial Cycle', after all.

It would be a bleh stronghold at first but could possibly become quite good after a few more packs.
