Karada District is one of the 16 districts of Otosan Uchi. It's one of the Crab-run ones, in the inner city, and basically a giant marketplace.

Also, it seems, it's common for one to 'lose' an item as one walks through the marketplace.... Crab needs better security.,.. which you would think is more stringent than the average airport screening in the states. (you know, defending that Wall and stuff)

I would agree except for how limited the conditions to activate this are. Have to 0) Be running a Seeker (Can kinda ignore this one) 1) Lose a political conflict, 2) have a Bushi, 3) Have a weapon in your discard or Have a 1+ cost weapon in your hand you want to play.

Given the number of weapons we've seen, and how they can combine, as mentioned, you get Katana and Honored Blade naturally from playing as lion (even as splash), then I think only Crab and Dragon have weapons, there aren't that many cards that trigger this. If we see more Lion or Neutral weapons, this will become more valuable.

You don't have to use it on a Lion attachment. There are other attachments in the game! Get back a kimono, get back your mask, get back an ornate fan or blade. I think the strength of the card is that you recover an attachment from your discard and for free (as applicable), not as the reaction. However, bushi only makes it a good bit weaker in my mind.

Every clan is going to get a "dead" card since they said in the article that they're going to do one keeper and one seeker card per clan

Depends on your deck, I reckon. Kaede's proactive ability works primarily on offense, while Tsukune lets you fiddle it a bit to resolve Rings as an attacker while defending.

And I'm sure some decks can get great mileage out of both.

I... really need to t'get some friggin' cards into my grubby claws.

Its not that you lose the item. Crab security is tight! What's also tight are THESE AMAZING DEALS!!! For just 1 fate you can sell me your Honored Blade and the best part of all is you literally CAN'T SAY NO TO THESE DEALS!!!!

Yeah. This is possibly what goes down when Bushi 'patrol' the markets..... Yet another reason why Imperial agents are needed to keep order instead of Clan-affiliated personnel... but I'm moving the thread out of its parameters. I apologize.

Whoa Isawa Kaede looks so cool!!! But I am happy with all the cards revealed here.

Specifically for Crane and Phoenix, which are my clans, I love that Crane got a great defensive tool that works with Honor strategies. Lets hope that the trend continues (and that we do not end up with a Seeker role down the line :P). Very important that it adds to province strength, keeping it unbroken most likely.

And Phoenix got an almost champion level shugenja!! We will have to see though if the meta will allow for the inclusion of multiple expensive personalities in a deck.

So with Seeker of Knowledge and Isawa Kaede you can get up to three ring effects in a single conflict right (Air, Void, the original and all activate)?

Does anyone know if how many cards per clan we will get? Two and six neutral seems like the obvious choice.

So, anyone else hoping we begin to see other roles also? Whether or not they are Seeker / Keeper?

Y'know, things like:
Seeker from Stone Council
You may include Earth conflict cards from all clans.

Or whatever?

I think so? Both Isawa Kaede and Seeker of Knowledge use the same language ("The contested ring gains the X element"), and Isawa Kaede lets you resolve each of the ring's effects instead of choosing an element to resolve.

yeah absolutely wonderful! It appears to me that Kaede would allow you to trigger all 3 abilities if you combined her with Seeker of Knowledge. Get void, air, AND fire all at once! Honored Kaede, knock a fate from your opponent and steal their honor. This is great!

Unfortunately - like Tsukune, her raw abilities up front are a little weak, so you might have to put up a bit of a fight to get through to that ring activation. Once you do though, its all down hill from there O_O She is a beast 6/7 when honored. Unless your opponent has a champion out they are hosed.

"When honored" is the tricky part. Because once you do have her honored, just bow that stronghold and she's 8/9!

We made them an offer they couldn't refuse.

I like seeing native attachment hate out of Crab. Makes me less concerned about not splashing Dragon. Hoping we also get a new character. Crab really needs to build up its supply of courtiers.
