List of known rules and cards?

By Tbetts94, in Star Wars: Legion

Is there any place that has put together everything known about the game? Could even use this thread and collaborate it all.

I'm genuinely intrigued...what would you do with this information before the game is released?

Write each bit of information on a tiny scrap of paper, filly my bedroom with all the tiny scraps and then dive in and swim around in it like Scrooge McDuck. Obvi

Good, as long as it's not a waste of time!

Just so you know the rules and how everything works. I know when I first started X-Wing we played wrong for the first month or so.

The rules also help on deciding whether to get into the game or not.

Also, another reason would be is Tabletop Simulator. Before Destiny was released the community put together all known rules and cards and started playing on there. Maybe this community could do the same.

Not sure about tabletop simulator, but I've used a program called MapTools to do the same thing with other games.

I've never heard of that. I've only heard of Vassal and TTS, but my experience is mainly X-Wing and a little Destiny. Is that a tool mostly used for games such as Legion?

No, actually it's software designed with TT RPG's in mind. It lets any number of people connect to a "server" which is really just the GM's computer, and they all see the same map, which has Fog of War on it, so the GM can hide stuff, and as the players move their tokens around it reveals the map based on LoS and lighting rules. So if you have a torch you don't see as far as you would with a lantern. It can also hide stuff not in direct LoS to the players...

Tt can also work for TT wargames, but not as well as Vassal or TTS, because there's no modules for it where you can hardbake the rules. But if you use the token tool from the same people and google image search you can make nearly any unit in the game and move them around the map. So not as good but a lot easier to set up for a unreleased game or one that doesn't have Vassal or TTS support yet, since you don't need to do any sort of programing.

That's pretty cool and doesn't seem to hard to set up then!

Will that do ?

Units.xlsx

It contains all information I could gather through the various demo videos and articles.

I have looked into creating a Vassal module. I'm not afraid at the code part of this, but I suck hard at everything related to graphics unfortunately...

Thanks!!

I've put together a wiki of all known information on the SWLegion reddit page

https://www.reddit.com/r/SWlegion/wiki/index

I will be updating it as new information surfaces
