4x6 or 3x6

Seems like it is going to be 3x6. Has that been verified? If so, it makes me sad because you get rid of a lot of depth that way (tactical and actual).

Yes, it's the same as Armada - uses a 4x6 table, with 6" per long side reserved for cards and such.

There shouldn't be any reason for you not to play on a table size of your own choosing. That said, you might find 4' means your minis have to cover a lot of ground before they can get into combat effectively.

Thought about it after posting. Some things could make 3X6 more palatable.

Slower movement. If the template is less than 6 inches for infantry, it should be ok. IMO you should be able to move across the whole table in 2 turns.

Depth of Deployment. If the deployment area is 6 inches, it still leaves 24" between zones. That should suffice although it doesn't allow for depth deployment.

I thought in one of the demos they mentioned it being played on a 3x6. I definitely hope it's on a 4x6, it makes the most sense. I just thought that I remebered hearing that somewhere.

Lot of gaming stores have 4x6 tables because of 40k. I like using 3ft instead of 4 for practically any other game because they all seem to use the card system and you need a place to put them thats not eating up the neighboring 4x6 table.

Besides, all the 4ft does is make the deployment zone bigger. 40k deployments are larger than 3x6 games, so most of the board tends to not even be used anyway.

3x6 is fine. Most games played on a 4x6 dont use the full table anyway, short of pure gunline vs pure gunline (which is mind-numbingly dull anyway).

The various deployment zones have much more impact on a 3x6 as well, making the various options more impactful.

I'd prefer 3x6 especially cause FFG loves cards and tokens so gotta have extra table space for all the dice and other crazy stuff.

It officially 6x3 for the full 800 point per side games.

Yes 6x3 for 800 points. I also would like to see a ```~500 points game on 3x3 table, with restriction to have 2-6 troops..
