Zealot Hunter - which way to interpret this card??

By Wytefang, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

Okay, I never really thought about this before but the Zealot Hunter isn't worded terribly clearly - or at least NOT clearly enough to understand how it actually destroys enemy units. My question is this:

1. Does it destroy an enemy unit that doesn't match the Zealot Hunter's own Capital's racial affiliation - for example, if my Zealot Hunter's Capital is say, an Empire capital, would he then kill an opposing Chaos unit (for example).

OR

2. Does it mean that the Zealot Hunter will kill an opposing unit that doesn't share that opponent's Capital affiliation - for example, if my opponent has an Orc unit in play but his capital is Chaos, would the Zealot kill that Orc?

Which one is it? Any help would be appreciated. You could easily interpret this either way, from what I can see.

Ok, well.

When the ZH is put into play, you can target an unit

if the icon on that unit is not the same that the one on the stronghold then , the unit is destroyed.

Example: a chaos player put an orc unit, you can destroy the orc unit.

if the card has no icon (rat for example, he is destroy )

BE CAREFUL: in the ZH card , the word TARGET is not printed BUT in the FAQ, they have add it

So ZH target!!

(for the rat I am not completely sure, but that´s my interpretation)

The action of the ZH is performed during your capital phase, because it´s triggered when he is put into play

Zealot Hunter "Forced: After this unit enters play, destroy a unit that does not share the racial affiliation of its controller's capital."

It checks the affiliation of the target unit against the controller of that unit's capital.

Okay, thanks guys. Wish it worked the other way, that'd be a straight-up easy kill but this is cool too. :)

He is also awesome for the fact that he can nuke neutral charcters as well since they don't match an affliation. Careful though, since if you play him and there is no other viable target, he will off himself.
