The "POSITIVE STAR WARS LEGION I WANT THIS GAME SO BADLY THREAD"

By Boomer_J, in Star Wars: Legion

I can only see positives for this game, plus more miniatures to paint since I already have most of the needed paints thanks to Imperial Assault. "Winner winner chicken dinner!!!"

This game has me on the highway to flavor town.

Agreed.

Legion is about to become my new plastic crack of choice.

This game has so much potential for other hobbies to be incorporated:

1. Scale model Star Wars vehicle modeling.

2. Scale Star Wars structure modeling.

3. Scale Star Wars scenery modeling.

4. Scale Star Wars terrain modelling.

5. Scale Star Wars accessories.

6. And so on...

I am so stoked for this game!!!

I can't wait to start learning how to make terrain. And so many figured I can paint. I just hope the rumors about it coming out in time for Christmas are true. I doubt they are, but I am taking off during the last couple weeks of December and would love to be able to paint then.

I'm so excited for this game, I've spent the past year dabbling between warmachine, runewars, 40k, and AoS, I am fairly confident my search for a mini game to invest heavily in is over as of 2018.

My body is ready....

There I was thinking to myself, "40K and Runewars look kinda cool, but I like Star Wars too much..."

And then FFG announced Legion. Problem solved. Now, a new problem-my wallet is about to get a lot lighter :) :)

At least we have a few months to save up.

That's what I have been thinking, a few months to save up. I want to know what else is coming out in Wave 1 or 2. I wonder if they will have noncommander versions of iconic characters, so you can see more of them in action?

Besides this, one of the other things I want to see is generic units that can act as "Relays" like Lambda shuttles & VCXs in Armada, basically making it possible to keep your commander safer. These could be Officer minis of some kind like the ones in IA.

Like the emperors guards? Maybe some kind of bodyguard unit would be cool. Like in 40k, you could have a command squad, where the leader could be the commander and the units were beefier than regular troops.

How about......

I am in.

I've mentioned my love with this elsewhere but here I'll go again with no shame.

(Lays prostrated before Legion)

Be gentle with my wallet.

I'm quite sure command squads will be a thing soon... there aren't supposed to be many jedis/sith around and Luke and Vader are total beasts for this reason, thematically if you put an imperial officer in command (lets say Krenic :P) he cannot be that tough but you won't field him on his own (for few points) so it can be blown to pieces in one turn, in the other hand if you give him enough upgrade slots and add the "Death trooper upgrade card" and voila, you have a thematic commander that makes sense to field.

Why not try the opposite? Cheap commander, leading from behind, and investing the points into some hard hitting tanks.

sure, you could still do this with the upgrade system. I hope the game gives us plenty of options :)

Next preview will probably push me over the edge to go ahead and preorder 2 core sets

Boba Fett as a special forces unit.

Edit: Also, Great thread. More of this please! :D

I was diving down that same hole. Played (and still do) X-Wing for a bit, then demoed FoW, bought into Team Yankee, Warmachine, bought a start collecting box for 40k which I fortunately hadn't spent much time on yet. Everything is getting tossed aside for this one.

This made me join forums - after lurking for a couple of years on X-Wing TMG.

Very excited, sad about the saltiness.

Lurking the X-Wing boards, I figured you'd be used to it. Lol. Fortunately we don't have to click on the negativity.
